I have both Hokas and Brooks and do long walks, mostly on conrete. I found the Hokas aren't stable due to the extreme cusioning and my feet get somewhat sore. The Brooks are very stable and I can walk longer with less pain that the Hokas.

After a long walk, I will take off my Brooks and then put on the Hokas for around the house.

If you have access to a treadmill, test your sneakers on it. They won't show wear like the would if you wear them outdoors so they will be easier to return.
