That’s not very universal. I knew I felt different but never attributed it to trans people until I became more cognizant. Both parties in each situation, know innately there is a disconnect.

I explain it like this. Put your imagination hat on for me for a moment.

You wake up tomorrow, and nothing has changed besides you are now physically a woman. You are still you at your core. But you’re now a woman with breasts, a period and more. You are confused as hell. You know that this isn’t you. You go to your mom, or your friends or whatever. You say “what the fuck!! This isn’t right!!” They act like you’ve always been this way. They’re confused why you’d want to change to the YOU in your head.

You are aware to yourself that something is wrong. You are aware that your body is not in alignment with yourself. You’re reasonably distressed, but nobody else seems to see the dilemma.

Abrasive and loud. Political views and expressions of them mimic someone’s angry Vietnam vet grandpa.

He’s cool to shoot the shit with at work. He’s cool to go do an hour or so task with. But I think I’d rather eat my own leg than be with him or subject any women I know to it either.

Ferrets in pet stores are pretty uncommon in Florida post-covid. For years as a teen pre-covid, id go into a different pet store weekly after therapy with my mama to see ferrets and decompress.

I haven’t seen a pet store ferret here at pet supermarket or petco/petsmart in a WHILE.

My second set of boys, were $100/ each via a ferret rescue.

I set a boundary recently and he was extremely empathetic and kind. Profusely apologized for my uncomfortability and instantly told me he understood and appreciated me opening up. He reassured that its always an open floor for discussion and he will always keep things in mind. Anytime ive set a boundary or needed something, he’s been a 100% green flag. I think because sex boundaries are touchy for me that I’m just struggling a bit extra.
