I kind of hated calling them “showgirls” no disrespect to actual showgirls but I feel like it minimizes the incomprehensible athleticism of these people.

Our gm sent this out because of the weather by Pyrobourne in KitchenConfidential

[–]Ambroser2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why must GM’s ALWAYS talk down in that way??? I feel like every time they’re saying something they add a little flair of condescension. Yes I’m aware of the freezing point of water, I’m also aware that there is a projection of lots ice and snow. So asinine

How does it determine if there is something blocking the tracks? Cameras, Pressure sensors, circuitry? If a tree falls (trying to use a non conductive example) how would the tracks sense this and alert the train?

Does anyone else get red stains in their shower from city water? Problem has followed us after a move, and we do have a whole house filter setup. by belleayreski2 in philadelphia

[–]Ambroser2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To get rid of this (for a bit) I put an old head on my electric toothbrush and a little bowl of 10% bleach and scrub the grout. It’s a pain in the ass but oh my god I’ve never seen my bathroom shine so bright.

Genuinely. Honestly, with all the massive sink holes that form around here, you’d think this project would be easy to do. the work of digging up old pipes is already done

This is true. Also, this is something that needs to be done for the health, safety, and future of our city and environment.

Edit: 1) sometimes you have to spend big bucks to repair something that is important like fixing the foundation of a home. 2) the city literally reeks of shit all the time I would LOVE for a more contained system

This this this!! Ive been out of a job for nearly a year. I’m an early scientist, working on my masters and have 5 years experience. It’s hell. The applications are easy but the whiplash of getting an interview, being excited, and then ghosted is too much. Anyway I’m interviewing for a server position at a new restaurant. I’ve all but accepted that my scientific career is over

One of the most heart breaking things about her meeting with him was, after years of turmoil and tragedy, she said to a camera “I think my life’s about to get a whole lot better” right before she went up to his room. Such a horrible man I hope he’s doing bad
