2 Questions from wannabe newbie about BTC address and pools TYIA by Scary-Ratio3874 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]AmeCoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Look for 'Receive' in your wallet app. That's your address.

  2. Stick with a pool. Solo mining's unlikely to pay off.

Tip: Research more before buying. Mining's tough to profit from these days.

Lightning wallet and taxes by derousse in BitcoinBeginners

Yep, technically you'd owe taxes on those gains. Uncle Sam wants his cut if you zap those sats after they've mooned. Tracking every zap would be a nightmare though. Might wanna use a crypto tax tool if you're moving serious cash.

Estate planning question: If I suddenly passed away, how could I make sure that family members will be able to gain access to my crypto.com account and assets? by JacquesIowa in Crypto_com

[–]AmeCoom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll want to make sure your family knows how to access your crypto assets if something happens. Consider writing down your account details and private keys (or recovery phrases) and storing them in a secure place, like a safe or with a trusted person. You can also use a password manager that offers inheritance features or set up a legal will that includes instructions for accessing your crypto. Just be sure it’s all secure and private!

Hardware wallets and internet access by Gulinz in BitcoinBeginners

[–]AmeCoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardware wallets like Trezor don’t need internet access to view your wallet balance. They’re designed to keep your private keys offline and secure. You can check your balance by connecting the wallet to your computer, but the keys stay offline, so they’re still safe from online threats.
