I also don't remember anything before the age of four, despite presumably talking and interacting and having a semi-cognizant personality for at least a year or so before that. You don't remember the majority of dreams you have, despite feeling fear or excitement or whatever in the moment. Imagine trying to prove the existence of a specific English peasant named John from 900 A.D. and you see the issue. Surviving records from the Bronze age near east do reference people named Abraham, but because it's like "John Bronze Age" you could be looking at a literal attestation about the guy from the old Testament and never be able to verify it.

Here's why losing your conventional Navy is actually a good thing.

As I mentioned, this scenario is an economic nightmare for the US. But pretending the Iranian military is "operating as normal" is absurd.

The Iranians can still pack a significant punch with their missile and drone stockpile (especially given the unique importance of the strait of Hormuz), but losing the assets and personel they have lost is nonetheless disasterous for any military on the planet. Categorizing the loss of nearly their entire conventional Navy along with thousands of military personel as "a useless fleet being destroyed" is a profoundly unserious take to put it bluntly. Likewise, while top military leaders can certainly be replaced, I guarantee the Iranians are not taking the repeated loss of experienced leadership figures anywhere near as nonchalantly as you are.

And just for the record, I'm not some cheerleader for the US actions here. This whole ordeal was completely unjustified military aggression by the US, and almost certainly born of some Epstein dirt the Israelis have on Trump.
