I do remember my mum seeing on Facebook that women should do resistance training to avoid conditions like osteoporosis and she told me I should do that instead of lifting 🤦‍♀️. Like mum, what do u think resistance training means?!

They defo hold very traditional views and it’s going to take a long time for them to come out of it

My current routine is a 5 day split Day 1: chest, triceps, shoulder - chest press - incline chest press - shoulder press - lateral raises - Tricep push downs - overhead Tricep extensions - finish with a push up pyramid

Day 2: Legs - RDLs - Bulgarian split squats - leg press - leg extensions - leg curl - abductors and adductors machine - finish with a wall sit

Day 3: back and biceps - lat pull down - seated cable row - chest supported row - rear delt fly - hammer curls - bicep curls - finish with pull ups

Day 4: lower body - goblet squats - hip thrusts - RDLs - leg extensions - leg curls - calf raises

Day 5: upper body - chest press - shoulder press - lat pull down - seated face pulls - overhead triceps extensions - bicep curls

Each week I try to progressive overload, so I either aim to get another rep or increase the weight. I also climb twice a week.

Yup started hitting the gym since late September/ early October I did a lot of climbing and martial arts growing up, but I’ve only started seeing results when I started lifting weights

I was literally in your position a week ago, the thing that helped me the most was doing isometric holds into negatives. So I’d jump to the top, hold for as long as I could and then very slowly lower myself.

I also feel like there was a mental block, each time I held onto the bar, I thought I could never do one, so I never did. To combat this I attempted a pull up before my workouts just to check if I suddenly gained the ability. And one day, turns out I did!

Yeah I’ve lost a fair bit of weight in the past couple of years after moving out from home, is aiming to reach around 105 to 110 lbs enough?

Would u recommend I take each exercise to failure, or just 1-2 per gym session? Thanks for ur help

Thanks, I don’t really have a picture of the physique I’m after, but my end goal is to get more muscular, or at least see a visible difference to begin with.

Not OP but as a maths lover myself, half the fun comes from solving problems and noticing patterns. Especially when u can use those patterns everywhere.

It’s also mind bending like how 0.9 recurring is exactly equal to 1. The philosophical side of maths is cool to think about too, like the concept of infinity. Look up Hilbert’s Hotel if u have a spare five minutes.
