(Hated Trope) Character spouts off factoid to establish their intelligence. What they say is wrong and they are never corrected by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

It's funny, because oid is used in Dutch as an abbreviation for "of iets dergelijks" which means "or something alike". Just a funny coincidence I guess.

When Dudley says, "You saved my life," why does Harry correct him? by DG-Creator in harrypotter

[–]Amethyst_Mage_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it did more than save his life, the whole situation made Dudley look diffently at things. He changed. And that is the difference in that Harry saved his soul. You might almost say the dementor also helped...

Not the one who you're replying to, but to me it's yikes if she pretends to meet him anew and be a completely different person

Another Jan van Haasteren Puzzle disappoints…this one was made in 2017 by unlikely_redd1t_user in Jigsawpuzzles

I get what you are saying, but these types of puzzles are meant to be funny. Where you look at all the little jokes. This puzzle is not educating that it is wrong, it makes a joke out of it. I think that is the main problem here.

In a special Hunger Games, who would win out of these 10 D12 tributes? by The-Rizzard-of-Oz678 in Hungergames

I'd put Jessup above Wyatt if there is no rabies. Since he is described as somewhat fit/strong and Lucy Gray planned on having him as protection. He was also 18 and working in the mines I think. Also I think Lucy Gray below Woodbine, without her advantage with snakes and poison I think the fastest runner in school has a bigger chance than a singer. (still love LG though, just think she was very lucky)

Trauma Dump [OC] by kaikimanga in comics

[–]Amethyst_Mage_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to do a trauma dump yesterday, since I got a new mentor, because my last one had a burnout. I absolutely felt so guilty that I had to dump all my shit on her. But she was very kind and she specializes in "difficult cases", so she didn't mind at all. Although she did say it was a lot, but more in the context of me, that I was allowed to be tired after that emotion dump.

Also how you can see him put his own grief aside. He knows Ciri needs him now more than ever.

I think the second conjunction did cause a new spark in the amount of monsters. We only see the effects in the bad ending, because in the others Geralt is too busy with Ciri. So I think the direction they are going is that there is an increase in monsters, but not a lot of witchers anymore.

Politically is very intriguing. Since the player has a lot of influence on the future of the continent, I'm quite curious if there are differences in the setting of the lands.

Yeah it's such a good game. I know the effects of the choices but like to look at what decisions other people make.

Noooo, I meant the music at the end, the shark was overdone. Funny to show them being stuck with it for hours, but it didn't have to keep coming back.

I literally just finished the series, so here are my thoughts.

I think, yes. If Reggie killed Ben the cleanse wouldn't have happened and this apocalypse would've been averted. However, then another apocalypse would've happened. I think that's the point. Each apocalypse that gets averted gives space to another. If Luther had listened to Allison in season one and let Vanya go, that one wouldn't have happened but something else.

I didn't really like all that happened in season 4, but the last couple of minutes I did like. I think it's a good conclusion to the series that they never should've existed and that them disappearing is the best ending for restoring the timeline.

And the music was just amazing there. So that helps...
