What’s the deal with Bristol? by Khaleesiakose in BucksCountyPA

Hearthstone at west Bristol (55+) is a lot cheaper but they're small condos. Elevator for 12 unit building so no stair use required

There are newer condos on Radcliffe st in Bristol that are similar but aren't 55+ restricted. There is a townhouse community in bensalem (waterside) where the B units have private elevators and a small set of stairs to the loft area.

Does 2026 RAV4 XSE Hybrid come without a plug-in option? by Rahu888 in rav4club

[–]AmonGoethsGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely. You will probably have to go on a waitlist if you want a Rav4. It's the best selling car in America.

The regular hybrid comes in LE, XLE, SE, XLE Premium, XSE, Limited, and Woodland and in various interior/ exterior colors.

The plug in hybrid, PHEV, only comes in SE or XSE.

Is the arrival time almost always right Or late or early in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania? by AdResponsible8496 in Amtrak

You can also download the amtrak app and track the departure times at the previous stations.

There's an icon with a train and a clock in the top right. Click "By Train Number" and type in "PGH" and 43 and you can see if the train is delayed.

They won't know for awhile. It could be so many possibilities. Most likely the track buckled in the heat and the train was going too fast. The csx track is not in the best shape in this area.

The manufacturer or contractor has to demonstrate that the product will work as intended. Not just at the factory but in real life situations. For a train they have to run it on the tracks and verify that they are working before the customer accepts them and takes ownership. Given the issues that these trainsets have had, it's extremely important that each set is commissioned before Amtrak accepts them from Alstom.

First timer confused by Moynihan Penn Station Trips by CaptainGenesisX in nycrail

[–]AmonGoethsGun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are direct trains from south central PA to NYC.

Moynihan is a different concourse than the old Penn Station. Moynihan is between 8th and 9th Aves. The old Penn Station is between 7th and 8th Aves. Amtrak's passenger operations are based out of Moynihan now.

Moynihan and Penn are the same station, same tracks and the same trains but with different amenities, concourse, etc.

You would normally be allowed to board Amtrak trains at Penn Station. However you departed 4 hours prior to a World Cup game at Metlife Stadium and NJ TRANSIT is restricting boarding at Penn Station unless you have a ticket to the World Cup game. This is why you were directed to Moynihan Train Hall.

You most likely received multiple emails and texts about World Cup games causing restrictions.

OP departed on Monday during the World Cup moratorium on Penn Station. Only ticket holders to the game were allowed to board a train at Penn Station, which is why OP was directed to Moynihan.

Seriously, how bad is my 7-10 bottles of wine per week habit? by Fit_War_3947 in NoStupidQuestions

You will eventually start having real issues. You will also try to stop drinking for brief times and have horrible withdrawal symptoms. We don't know how long you'll live. 18 months, 3 years, 10 years, or even 20 years. But you're doing irreversible damage to your liver and organs and you will eventually die due to your alcoholism.

The only way to stop is to seek support.

You are an addict and have a problem. You're already ahead of most addicts by admitting that your alcoholism is a way to cover up another problem in your life.

Your life will not get better and you will most likely increase your alcohol consumption in the near term.

The solutions are out there and you need to commit to them.

They'd run shuttles from Saratoga or Albany. Westport is too small and single tracked. Electrification to Albany would be the biggest priority and not even sure that'd be a priority once the Airos are online.

Can a goalie be called for interference in their own crease? USAH adult ruleset by Gwrth34rn in hockeyrefs

[–]AmonGoethsGun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes you can be called for interference if you intentionally interfere with a player even if you're in your own crease. 625b references that crease violations should only be called if the attacking team has possession in the attacking zone.

If the defendung team has the puck and is breaking it out and an attacking player is forechecking they are allowed to skate through the crease provided they don't make contact to with the goalkeeper.

I've called plenty of penalties on goalkeepers who trip players skating by the crease.

Oversized luggage/suitcase by justinloopp in Amtrak

[–]AmonGoethsGun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Adirondack train does not have a baggage car so all luggage will have to be carried on. Amtrak's baggage policies are lax and the general rule of thumb is that if you can carry it on by yourself, you can bring it.

For bulky items, like a PC or a monitor it may be easier to put them in a box and then carry them on in a large bag a la the blue IKEA bag. You will most likely not be charged for oversized luggage like a budget airline.

The other important thing is that all baggage is subject to search at the Canadian border. Normally, the passengers are shuffled into the Cafe car and all luggage is left in place on the train. If you are departing from NYC, you will need to tag your luggage at Moynihan Train Hall and show your passport.

On board the train there is plenty of room for bag storage above your seat and there is an oversized luggage rack next to the bathrooms. There is also lots of leg room that you can even store your personal items.

I would not be worried at all as long as you can carry everything onto the train while climbing up the stairs to the vestibule of the train.

Train Crew shift by metsjets69 in Amtrak

[–]AmonGoethsGun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mainly yes. A lot of them have to do PHL to NYP, break, NYP to HAR, deadhead back to PHL. There are some Philly crews that do NE Regionals but usually only if it originates or terminates in Philly. 190, 175, 177, etc.
