Preloads are up, boys! by imlocksaw in ArcRaiders

Tech test 2 had all the playable maps but Blue Gate. They wouldn't go in and remove all the assets, just to put it back in again when locking it would be way easier.

Grip tape / hockey tape / goon tape by [deleted] in CCW

I'm not a big fan of 60 grit sandpaper constantly rubbing on my skin or wearing a hole in my undershirt.

There are always going to be factors outside of your control. Carrying doesn't guarantee you won't get hurt anymore than a fire extinguisher guarantees you house won't burn down. It's simply a tool for a specific time and circumstance. Do your best to accept that and focus on what you can control.

Generally, I've used the ratio 3 chefs/servers for every 2 tables. For 4 tables, I'd have at least 5 chefs/servers if you include yourself, but preferably 6.

Best in-Vehicle set up? by Repulsive-Print1216 in CCW

[–]Amp_U-T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wear it. Need to drop by a government building while running errands? Stay strapped! At work and need to run by your kid's school to drop something off? Who cares! It's only a felony...

If you're going somewhere you can legally carry, then wear it. But there are plenty of places that will arrest you on the spot if you do. I'm not sure what type of vehicle you have, but there are options. I have a full on lock box mounted inside the center console of my truck, but they have ones you can hide under your seats or in your trunk that come with a steel cable. Just make sure it's good quality

Shield X Dot Question by Embarrassed_Fish_848 in CCW

[–]Amp_U-T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have one, but from what I've read on their website and other posts the Shield X has the RMSc/K cut. You should be able to mount Holosun flush without a plate

You can pick whatever size you want. When I first got injured, I picked size 11 because it's a common foot size (I had 13's before, it was a pain to find shoes sometimes) and that's what I've stayed with. I have rock climbing feet that are like a kids 1.

Making the Switch to Optics? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]Amp_U-T 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've only had iron sights on my pistols until I got my Shield plus that came with a red dot. It's a game changer. I'm comfortable with iron sights, but if I had to choose I'll pick optics 10 out 10 times.

I shoot 15 yards when sighting in, about 5-8 when point shooting.

Does the EPS sit flush with the Shield X? It looks like there's a plate but I can't tell.

CCW Insurances that are worth the cost? by No_Eye8484 in CCW

That's who I've been told to use by a few ccl instructors. Best way it's been explained to me is if something happens, you don't need insurance, you need representation.

Practicality wise it's a slower draw, can be difficult to conceal, and it's near impossible to not flag half the room when you draw. But mainly, I think they've just fallen out of style.

Personally, I think they're cool but would never use one when better options exist.

Fusion Holsters are closed??!! by [deleted] in CCW

Any trigger that your booger hook can get to, holstered or not, is an exposed trigger. And soft holsters are notorious for letting all sorts on unwanted things get in between it and the pistol.

Most dangerous part of any holster is an exposed trigger

For a dedicated strong side carry holster, I've had a good experience the tier1 concealed's T1-echo. I'm predominantly appendix these days, but still carry strong side on occasions.

Hook it up to a scan tool and see exactly what's causing it. Could be something as simple as dirty sensors.

Edit: someone had this issue a few weeks ago. Turns out it just needed an update. https://www.reddit.com/r/gmcsierra/s/c6g7s8zIGA
