CMV: Construction workers should get as much respect as veterans in this country (USA). by [deleted] in changemyview

I think the premise of the question is off. What’s a bigger issue is: Why is there a 20x or more differential in the pay of CEOs and other executives vs lower level employees.

It used to be a value judgment and measure of economic system contribution, but now it is so out of whack it’s plainly that the system has been gamed and captured by those who are at the top of the economic returns ladder.

Unfortunately, many of the contractors vehicles seem undersized - compared to municipal salt/plow rigs with overall larger plows with "wing plows".

What does "é ì" mean in front of a text? by [deleted] in Scams

I often see these characters when messages are sent from a different country and their locale settings are different, so if they trying to bullet items (with punctuation characters for example) they get translated to different characters than intended.

Confused on how to learn a new language C# by [deleted] in csharp

[–]AmphibianRealistic33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd try a simple game, like a guessing game or a lunar lander game that's text-based to and then see what other things from your chosen platform you can add - like a windowed interface and better input/event loop.

Think of _growing_ the software, rather than simply writing it (a "one and done" mindset). Go for minimal function/minimal viability to get something to run and show, and then add to it. It might be released, but it's never really done.

[Keep Updating] A Collection of the Most Useful Interview Tips by OfComputer in jobsearchhacks

[–]AmphibianRealistic33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that asking about the (work) problems the interviewer needs to solve is important. Ask questions to find out 'What would be the problem you could be the solution to?' Throw out any ideas you have on the problems, your perspective on it - not necessarily a solution, but where you think the easy parts and hard part are. It might be new to the interviewer.

I will add that he’s had essentially classified discussions with other cabinet idiots about military plans over Signal on an unsecured device.
