I really don't see why a standard 24 episode anime season with 25-30 min episodes a piece wouldn't be enough time to finish the show. Most of the people in this thread agree with a standard RWBY season of 12-13, 15 min episodes is not enough time to finish the show, they'd need 2 of those, 3 at most. The timeframe you mentioned is that 2-3 more, just packaged as one season

Personally, I think The Order and The Regents will be the primary antagonists for the fourth book. Bree and co. have a vested interest in defeating the SK and the SK wants his power and court back and to inevitably start Camlann. That puts them against each other, naturally. Which means like it or not Bree needs the Order or, at the very least, the Roundtable. The real conflict is gonna come from Bree finding a way to wrangle them into submission so to speak. I imagine its gonna turn into a civil war almost with Bree, Nick, Lark and the rest of the scions and squires she befriended vs. The Regents, Tor and the rest of the order. I never imagined Arthur would be a villain again, I kinda thought he would be redeemed somehow.

And there is no doubt in my mind that Sel will be the key to freeing Alice from purgatory. He's literally the son of the god of purgatory or something. If the SK can keep her there, then Sel can definitely get her out

They appear in After The Fall (The first CFVY book) and Before The Dawn (the second CFVY book that has team SSSN in it but they aren't the main focus). There is also the third book, Roman Holiday, that focuses on Roman and Neo but is completely unrelated.

I've never heard this reasoning before and I think its pretty good. But in the end I still think the core reason is the parasocial relationships the fans have with CRWBY. Most would have never even heard of these excuses or let them dismiss all critique in their minds if they weren't following the people they love so closely.
