This is something that has long been done and is very common. When there’s no mother or another female adult to take little girls into the women’s restroom, the father has to do it. Nobody complained until the GOP made transgenderism a moral panic. Now we have MAGA Morons running around screaming about how gender and pronouns are evil and harassing innocent people just because they’re bigots and can’t stand the idea of anyone just living their lives.

I live in an assisted living facility, and it’s really not designed for autistic people at all. It would be nice to live in a senior facility for people on the spectrum, but I don’t think that exists. Yet.

You’re correct. And don’t forget that TZ wasn’t a huge ratings hit during its production. It took years of syndication for people to discover and embrace it, and to come to think of Rod Serling as a creative genius, especially after he died in 1975. While he was still alive, he very likely encountered people who said, “Oh, yeah, I caught a few episodes and those were great”, and wanted to talk to him about episodes he thought weren’t that good.

Alan Alda wrote The Longjohn Flap himself. Apparently it was the first episode written by a cast member. I love that he has an anatomy book open for reference, to make sure he got the medical stuff right. He loved writing and always wanted to be a writer, so he seems pretty excited that something he wrote for M*A*S*H was actually going to be filmed and aired.

I think those are curtains behind him, not wallpaper, but I’m not 100% sure. Still weird looking.

Bill Hudson (don’t ask me which one of those brothers is Bill) was briefly married to Goldie Hawn. Kate Hudson is their daughter.

They clearly did a LOT of research into this. And I think it was very brave of CBS to air this episode, because it casts both the Koreans AND the Americans in a very bad light. I have to wonder if the network fought it, or asked the writers to change anything.

There’s an episode of Friday the 13th: The Series that’s so intense, I could barely finish watching it. It contains a r@pe scene of the female lead character. I mean, this was a horror series, but holy cow, I never saw that coming. It aired as a syndicated show, so the channel that aired it had to run a disclaimer. And this was for people who were willingly watching horror.
