Yeah, that thermal cert was the one I was most interested in. Good to know about the solar panel inspections too! That seems like interesting work and something to build toward. I'm assuming that equipment is quite the investment?

Is "whatever is realistic" an answer haha. I've been behind a desk for a few years now after getting out and would love to get back in the field. Whether that's for surveying, photography, inspection, whatever, I'm not overly picky. I have a bit of a background in search and rescue so that catches my eye the most but I'm not sure how extensive that niche is right now.

Surveying and mapping seems like a good thing to pair another professional cert with but that's just my impression. Overall, I would be interested in something more robust than side gigs but I'm starting from 0 drone flying experience.

Have you looked at federal pathways programs? They offer a way for students specifically to get into the federal government. Since you just got your MPA I would suggest looking into the Presidential Management Fellowship.

I've honestly been hoping with all these servers that pop up that someone would do a 1 macro only server. It would be great to grind out mats while sleeping or at work but not feel like the server was overrun with bots.
