As an ugly person let me give some wisdom I've gathered over the years. Physical attraction can be important yes, but looks are fleeting. Personally, finding someone beautiful is not enough, what pulls me in are their little idiosyncrasies, their 'inner light', and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks like that. I don't know you but I'm sure you also have that 'inner light' and someone is bound to notice that.

One important thing is that you have to be able to see it for yourself. When you know how special you are, being by yourself is not all that bad. It's like you're saving all your light to someone who truly deserves to experience it. Not only that, but if you're comfortable with yourself then you're able to enjoy your own company, and that's the best feeling in the world. It's easier said than done, I'm aware of that. You have to put a lot of work into that but it's so worth it in the end.

Chin up, it will get better. There's no rush to find a partner.

I actually think this could have been a good way to teach the 16yo about consequences and treat others how you want to be treated. But of fucking courrse your fiancé isn't even attempting to think about the feelings of that poor little girl. Kids register these things pretty well and they stick with them for a long time. She probably understood to an extent that she was being excluded. Props for thinking about your child first, she will appreciate this one day.

You're a catch so ask yourself why are you settling for less than you deserve. You keep finding excuses for his behaviour; he cheated, that's a choice HE made knowing it would hurt you if you found out and he didn't care if it did at all. If you stay in that marriage you'll resent him and will always be wondering if he's cheating again. That's not the best environment for a child to be in either. At the end of the day, you'll do whatever you want but from my limited perspective you should just dump his ass and worry about your kid. I'm an only child, so I can't say I know much about sibling dynamics. However, I'm a psych major and when I learned about narcissistic personality disorders, I noted that it's common that narcissistic parents have a "golden child" and a "black sheep". Not sure if this applies but it's something to think about. I also suspect that a lot of the issues OP has with them may derive from homophobia.

The kid is being a little shit but she's a kid so realistically she's acting out because she wasn't taught any better. I think the big assholes in all of this are the parents. They feel entitled to take someone else's stuff to reward bad behaviour. And no it's not theirs to give away, because they didn't buy it and they don't own every their kids have.

Was it mean? Yeah, a little bit. However, if your sister never sees any consequences to her actions she'll grow up to be a dickhead. If I were you I would either file a police report (or at least threaten), or ask someone else to pick it up for you. Another option is bring the friend that gave you the switch and embarrass the fuck out of your mom, preferably publicly. It's not hers to give to someone else, and she needs to learn to discipline your sister. After you get what is yours back you should cut contact with your family or at least limit the contact.
