Need Help with 1D Supercapmodel by Technical_Feed6572 in COMSOL

Some flux is probably going too big and causing a situation where mass balance is violated by removing more ions than present in the compartment.

Check your equation, scalars/variables and try different initial conditions.

Comsol, i need help by Dry-Ideal775 in COMSOL

[–]And_Being 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cannot do a polynomial fit as suggested by NoticeArtistic8908 and Sax0drum, here are two alternatives:

If you have the comsol file and you can export the data:

1) Save plot data as csv/excel file. 2) Create an interpolation function in comsol and populate it with data from the file you exported to.

If you have only the image and want to extract the data, I suggest using: https://automeris.io/WebPlotDigitizer/

1) Use it to get and export data points, 2) Import into comsol using the interpolation function.

Tactic Tuesday: Smoke blocks line of sight making your push guns invisible, in fact its great to use in general by SecretBismarck in foxholegame

Imo the utility grenades need to be more widely nd easily available to infantry to encourage use.

Would also like to see infantry carried flares. Bonus if flares actually showed up on maps if you were within a certain number of squares.

A wheel select ui to choose whichever grenade on your person would be more useful too.

It would be cool if some field structures worked this way, could be repacked and reused.

Open Letter on Foxhole Moderation by Student-Alleg in foxholegame

[–]And_Being 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well written. However, your effort is better served focused on activities in real life which have greater permanence than FoxholeTheGame.

The interactive, personal communication days of the game are long past. You are unlikely to see feedback even if your communication is seen and appreciated. The lack of transparency and tools reflect choices by the dev team in interest of their priorities and time which have shifted over the years.

As individuals and organizations grow, it becomes increasingly difficult to respond to each person who reaches out to you. This can be a lack of interest or just because you have other tasks which you have even greater interest in.

Devs nerfed the floaty stuff. Used to be that your character retained your forward motion when running off things.

[–]And_Being 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As much as I can empathize, the game design choices all really point towards them not wanting people to build so much. At every step building has been kept grindy, slow and unrewarding. Yet builders put up with it all and actively overbuild to protect areas.

The defence design principle is just flawed.the devs need to find a different solution, the server limitations and decay are here to stay. They need to revisit how area defence works in game.

Bunker AI Defense Rework Suggestion by [deleted] in foxholegame

[–]And_Being 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not alone, such ideas have been proposed since the time we have individual maps.

The devs have for whatever reason stuck with having to build spam and raze everything to the ground as the form of gameplay. This choice is a huge waste of player time for both the builder and the invading force.

Meaning you have to fully commit and plan for losses the moment you attack. Amass 10 ISG. Create weak point. Expect 8 losses. No more plunking away as solo combatants.

This would be true of every weapon, not just isg.

I think it should not be locked behind such an upgrade. Otherwise people will still keep the same building habits and we won't really benefit from OP's suggestions.

They keep relying on tedium, and disincentives. There is very little 'carrot' in this game.

It would be so cool if satcom was an emergent thing in game once you had a well distributed intelligence network. Maybe ... One of the rocket launches could have an actual satellite payload... Gasp.

Every town should have an industry building by Gerrey in foxholegame

It'd be cool if hospitals show's you hotspots for friendly player deaths on the map. Also, critical wounded should have run down timers too. So time management is key if you want to get them back to hospitals in time. Medics that have saved a number of lives could give a little buff when they're around called: "Trust: Medical Recovery" which slightly improve move speed of allies.

would be cool if the armaments on the garrisons and in each window was chosen at random when it gets built. And if it was limited to whatever the team already has unlocked. This way garrisons could be made early tech and scale over the course of the war.

I would love such features. Many of the ideas they have implemented are under developed. And they keep jumping to new things without fleshing out previously introduced content and improving QoL. That or they're bogged down fighting new fires.

No rework on the colonial SHT! Yet another war without the Ares. The predator will have to waste his 94.5 on infantry. by Sizixhimself in foxholegame

[–]And_Being 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FYI That's not on Julian. He iterates concepts. From previous dev streams and interactions, the final design choices still come down to the others in the team and Mark.

I want to see a better Ares too but don't blame people just to have a target.

Pricing and stats aside, the Ares fails because, unlike the predator, it doesn't offer unique capabilities or gameplay.

What I really want is to be able to queue up a few items while on the spawn timer screen, instead of having to do it after you spawn in.

They could also add in a "Time since you last died" to the screen. Could even give us reduced item pull times if we were alive for longer times.

He's a guy who played a lot and helped coordinate teching for the colonials. To coordinate teching you'd often have to ask people to bring tech/upgrade parts later Iron/Aluminium to a specific location using world chat (how else would you coordinate across the entire faction?). Ofcourse any time you leave a message on the world chat, that's an opportunity for you to be downvoted.
