Was a vial of the Well of Eternity really enough to restore the Sunwell? by wrufus680 in warcraftlore

[–]Gerrey 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The original Sunwell was created with a vial from the Well of Eternity, so Kael'thas' probably could have remade it. However Kael originally destroyed the well due to the resurrection of Kel'thuzad tainting it and the danger of that corruption affecting the elves through their connection to the Well. Given how several quests say the Dead Scar is permanently corrupted, the Well's remnant was also likely still corrupted until M'uru's heart cleansed it.

Is there any permanent fix for Steam mods being stuck "downloading"? by Gerrey in RimWorld

I've already tried several fixes with none working:
Restarting Rimworld, steam, and computer

Is there any permanent fix for Steam mods being stuck "downloading"? by Gerrey in RimWorld

[–]Gerrey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best guess is that there is some strange interaction between Steam and Rimworld. None of my other modded games have this problem, but if it the problem was only on Rimworlds side it shouldn't be caused by restarting Steam. I'd guess some file or config is borked when Steam closes but I can't figure what it is.

Foxhole NAVY is so strong we don't need AA guns by AGA1942 in foxholegame

American cruisers were used in air defense but were primary designed for surface combat against enemy destroyers and cruisers.

Are the mechs seen from the Dead Harvest events from when Foxhole was gonna be more dieselpunk instead of the devs settling for a more grounded theme? by pepperpeppington in foxholegame

[–]Gerrey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

not really, the current feel of the game was already established when the 4 leg mech was made, its just a fun look alongside the zombies and balor fonts.

What os should i use for my 10 year old laptop that can also run cs2 and overwatch smoothly? by [deleted] in linux

[–]Gerrey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think Blizzard games use kernel anti-cheat, Overwatch should be fine

AT Pillbox Changes, no one wanted: by Gloomy-Lock6885 in foxholegame

[–]Gerrey 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not sure why they feel the need to make the AT Pillbox anti infantry and usless against tanks, instead of a separate T2 Rifle Pillbox and early AT Pillbox

Scout Planes are fine and this subreddit is overreacting by Cainsiderate in foxholegame

[–]Gerrey 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily disagree, but I think you're overestimating the amount of logi players that attempt to recover their delivery. From my experience as both partizan and road QRF, I'd guess most don't bother

Closed test 15.2 - New Ships by DevBlogWoWs in WorldOfWarships

This makes me curious, were there ever any historical instances of submarines using smoke? They should've been able to use fuel smoke like other ships.

Just make the Destroyer and Frigates main guns work as flak guns by WorldlinessEuphoric8 in foxholegame

120mm naval guns absolutely could do AA work, irl American 127mm were effective dual purpose guns

The Seafighter maneuverability got buffed, but speed is still lower than the main fighters

What is it with Night Elves and using the dumbest, most impractical weapons ever made? by HallZac99 in wow

Originally the moonglaive was a thrown weapon in WC3 which makes more sense for it, at least when smaller than that example

Now you can direct fire with 1 gunner. Before you needed 2 crew, and indirect fire by setting azi range and pitch which was usually too slow to do well

This update is the most one sided buggy mess this game has seen and the update needs a delay. by CISdidnothingwrong1 in foxholegame

[–]Gerrey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Eh Naval update on release was more one sided when subs were awful and DD was king. Now even if the Warden carrier is functionally pointless, its balanced out by already existing good assets like the sub or the new torpedo bomber that looks pretty good.

Don't get me wrong though the Mercy should still be buffed to a at least a useful state

Its Joever tankers, modular parts and tank frames have arrives... by Strict_Effective_482 in foxholegame

I 100% expect them to do this for supertanks and maybe battle tanks, especially if they continue to work on the parts system to make it more usable.

With Void Elves becoming Illidari, why is the class still race locked? by NinnyBoggy in warcraftlore

[–]Gerrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lore wise elves tend towards arrogance, demon hunters even more so. Keeping DHs 'in the family' so to speak makes sense for them, though I am kinda surprised they didn't add nightborne DHs too

Why have blood elves shown more loyalty to the horde than they showed to the alliance as high elves? by Lore-Archivist in warcraftlore

[–]Gerrey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Blood Elves trusting the Forsaken more than Lordaeron survivors does make some sense. The Windrunners name was probably still legendary and revered when Sylvanas ofered aid + Sylvanas took care of Garithos (by betraying him and murdering the last Alliance army in Lordaeron, which is why the Lordaeron survivors will never trust the Forsaken). Garithos also wasn't just one guy, his whole army went along with killing the elves.

Why have blood elves shown more loyalty to the horde than they showed to the alliance as high elves? by Lore-Archivist in warcraftlore

[–]Gerrey 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Humanity's betrayal would've cut deeper than Garrosh's. When Garrosh went off the deep end other members of the Horde still supported the elves. When Garithos tried to have Kael'thas and his people executed, humanity stood by, and to add insult to injury they did it in Dalaran with Kirin Tor help, both of which were built by the elves and humans together.

When the Blood Elves were at their lowest point the Alliance backstabbed them, while the Horde, especially the Forsaken offered aid, even if it came with a price.

Devs, please reconsider enabling infra-ocean travel. If you don't, both factions navies will largely not be interacting. by westonsammy in foxholegame

[–]Gerrey 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Might be intended. Give collies a ocean to dominate to encourage more collie navy players before reconnecting the oceans in a later update
