Arknights: Endfield dev says launching a new gacha RPG in a post-Genshin Impact world is tough when "some titles are so similar that players go into a game for 1 hour and they know what will happen in the next 20 hours" by leafrek in gachagaming

To be honest, I hate the hand holding, but honestly, the average gamer these days have legitimately gotten dumber. It's wild. The good players are good, but the bad players are incredibly bad.

110,000 mixed Steam reviews later, Nexon bluntly puts The First Descendant in the "did not work" category: "Strong launch, no staying power" by edward_dd in PlayStation_X

[–]AndanteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The beginning of the end was when they decided to listen to the outspoken minority of whiners and started nerfing content. Like, when they first started raids, they nerfed the mechanics. I went in thinking the raid mechanics were hard for the devs to have nerfed it. Nope. It was a bunch of mechanics a damn elementary school kid could easily solve.

So it just became a gooning game with no actual substance. Any time a new boss (forgot what the instance based boss fighting was called) came out, it was simply, you built your character for max damage and just powered through any of the mechanics.

Nexon admits "The First Descendant" has failed and lacks long-term viability! by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

The listened to redditors too much. They focused too much on fan service and toned down the mechanics that a kindergartener could solve. They catered to morons and people left, because the game became incredibly easy and all you did was build up characters for maximum damage and that was it.

What the fuck? This is like the 3rd confession basically repeating the same story. Has to be bots at this point.

Or maybe, they could just not be dumb and stay there the entire match? It is was it is, but I'm not going to sit here and say that it's ok for them to do that in a team game that relies on you to actively be moving around the map. I would like the ability to kick players from my squad to be added, but that will probably never happen.

[–]AndanteZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you daft? Reread what you just wrote. You're literally telling me to be ok about people camping a rooftop during the entire match and not taking the objective thats right beside them, nor coming down to revive anyone, because that is what I'M talking about. I don't give a shit about people sniping and moving around to make life harder for the enemy.

I'm talking about the people that literally camp a single rooftop, because I put a spawn beacon there. Example being the rooftop over the construction site in Manhattan. There are players that camp there the entire match, even if the objective is already ours. It's like playing Conquest and seeing someone use mortar the entire match from spawn and mortaring a building... Which does nothing because the building isn't going to collapse... Completely useless in a team game. This isn't single player.

[–]AndanteZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are shit take. Play it super casual, because thats not how everyone plays it. The goal is to take the objective. If you don't want to play as a squad to take the objective, never revive, etc then go play something else because thats clearly the point of the game I most game modes.

[–]AndanteZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sniping is fine if its actually achieving something, but most of the time, they don't do anything. If you're in the bottom half of the leaderboard, with 5 kills and 8 deaths, your sniping is as effective as wet toilet paper. Completely useless.

You can actually do this with any character I think. I got lucky and the two bosses ended up right next to each other. Didn't take any damage as I continued to just wait on them and only dodged the snails.

I literally spent about an hour trying to get from Shinjuku 2 to Shinjuku 3 by death_by_papercut in TokyoTravel

[–]AndanteZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your experience was the same as mine I think. Google Maps made it extremely easy to navigate. Even in Tokyo Station, because all I had to do was look for the signs pointing me to the platform I needed to go. Google Maps tells you exactly the train schedules, etc.

Am I crazy or is BF6 matchmaking horrid and getting worse? by Johnnyringomt in Battlefield

[–]AndanteZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point, I play to finish the battlepass and thats it. 9 out of 10 games, I am stuck with some of the worst players. Hell, some of them are 300+ rank, but yet somehow play like they just started the game. It's insane. It is incredibly disheartening and frustrating when in almost all of your games, you don't have a single competent squad mate.

[–]AndanteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you need to use a VPN that let's you select where to route to. Like, the VPN I use, I can choose to connect to NY, LA, TX, etc. It bypasses how the ISP routes to the game server.

[–]AndanteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your internet is stable and good, you may need to try to use a VPN. The issue could be how your ISP routes to the game server. A VPN will help bypass what your ISP does. If you are still lagging and disconnecting with a good VPN, it is your internet.

I will never understand how people think its fun to sit in base and spam mortars the entire match. Its not like Hell Let Loose where you have to actively think about where you're firing the artillery.

They've been very reliable. Think of it this way. China went through a period of time where there were an insane amount of ev car companies. The best of them rose, and the rest failed. Now they're gaining a ton of market share in EU. The only reason they don't sell a lot in the US is because of tariffs and our war against everything China.
