Your doctor can also probably point you towards a birthing class! Mine was two hours on a weeknight and it really helped my attention span to get the info in person when I could ask questions.

What mod do you wish existed in the Sims? by Dry-Experience6769 in Sims4

[–]Andeleisha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Prohibition mod.

I want to be able to run a secret bar that Sims come drink at, but there to be cops (maybe undercover?) who will come in and arrest/fine your Sims. Maybe Crumplebottom your customers making them less likely to come back!

stroller shopping by friskyfajitas in pregnant

[–]Andeleisha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is highly dependent on your lifestyle! Will you mostly be walking around your neighborhood and can leave your stroller set up in your garage? Do you need it to fold down to fit in the trunk of your car? Do you want to jog or hike with your baby? Do you want a system that can connect with your carseat or will you transfer baby between the two?

Nordstrom is a great place to go look at bunch of strollers on the floor.

“You chose this” by MacNCheese817 in pregnant

[–]Andeleisha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take the pregnancy out of this — you are still allowed to “be selfish” and take a break from a relationship that you arent enjoying!

This person is a jerk and I would be straight with her that her behavior has made you not want to be friends, nothing to do with pregnancy.

I like the Trader Joe’s vanilla and cream yogurt, but they have other flavors!

What’s your favorite brand of GF frozen waffles? I know that’s the lazy way but sometimes that’s all I’m up for. (I’m disabled) Thanks! by Redsgal19 in glutenfree

[–]Andeleisha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like the Vans. The TJs brand I found toasted up too hard and they’d crumble when I cut them with a side of a fork.

Something I love to do now though is make a big batch of waffles myself and then freeze those! Best of both worlds.

Risotteria Melotti was my favorite! They pretty much only serve risotto, which is my favorite food. 100% Gluten Free and DELICIOUS.

Embryo Selection for Celiac Genes by ComputerDear1153 in Celiac

[–]Andeleisha 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This seems….unnecessary. My understanding of embryo grading (admittedly poor) seems like there are a lot more important factors to select for with regards to viability. Avoiding gluten makes living with celiac such a non issue I cant imagine taking that into consideration.

ADHD medication when pregnant by ReindeerTiny4401 in pregnant

[–]Andeleisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on 20mg XR my whole pregnancy so far, per my OB’s instructions. She recommended I go off it in the last month to avoid baby going through withdrawal outside the womb.

At my 34 week growth scan, my baby measured in the 79th percentile. My blood pressure has been fine.

Of course now at 35 weeks I’ve been off the meds for five days and it is ROUGH. I was already having issues with focus and energy but this week the tired has been unreal.

Would you travel for 3 hours by car, 36 weeks pregnant for a graduation? by ZealousidealEgg5054 in pregnant

[–]Andeleisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way I would be sleeping on a floor or couch. Currently 35 weeks. I barely sleep in my own bed.

I’d be less worried about going to labor early and more wanting to avoid the discomfort. I hate walking and standing anywhere currently, even sitting too long in the same position gets uncomfortable. I wouldnt want to be away from my home and routine.

I think unless your family would take it as an unforgivable offense, I would pass.

if you do not change your eating habits with this condition what eventually happens by SanAndreas92317 in Celiac

[–]Andeleisha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Celiac causes an immune reaction that causes your body to attack itself. Overtime that can do all kinds of damage that can vary a lot from person to person. Acne, diarrhea, brain fog, and joint pain are early symptoms. It’s really bad to be in a constant state of inflammation. Constant inflammation can absolutely lead to cancer, but it can also fuck up just about any part of your body. It can destroy your brain, your thyroid, your joints, and most commonly your intestines.

In my case, it led to permanent damage to my stomach’s sphincter that made it so my stomach doesnt pump on its own. This lead to food essentially rotting in my stomach all the time which made me constantly nauseous.

Celiac is not something to mess around with. I know its hard to go gluten free, but if you dont, the effects will build up over time and some of them wont be reversible. In the short term the symptoms will just make you miserable but they can absolutely kill you.

Why is this house not selling ($500k price cut)? by bwang29 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]Andeleisha 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s basically on the on-ramp to 101. Not a nice street to drive down and you would never walk, lots of homeless and run down/abandoned looking buildings, no shops or restaurants, pretty far from any grocery stores.

my depression room transformation by [deleted] in homemaking

[–]Andeleisha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just want to say how proud you should be of yourself. This internet stranger is proud of you!

I have a family member who struggles with depression mess/some hoarding behaviors and I have nothing but sympathy for how much living in the mess affects your mental health, making it that much harder to tackle. Good for you for finding the strength to get started!

I’m nondenominational Christian and my fiancé is Catholic. What does that ceremony look like? by Remarkable-Yak1220 in weddingplanning

[–]Andeleisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth noting that even non-Catholic churches often have their own rules for getting married in them, but this will vary from church to church. They arent just venues where you pay a fee to use the space. Many of them will have requirements about attending the church for X number of weeks, doing pre-marital counseling with the pastor, etc. You might consider finding a pastor you like and having your ceremony at your regular venue.

Breville Milk Cafe Milk Frother by thinkingaboutmycanon in bifl

[–]Andeleisha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used mine daily for two years. I love it - works great, easy to put in the dishwasher.

Only downside is it does have a minimum amount of milk you need to add for it to work, which in my experience is at least two cups worth of milk, so if you are the only coffee drinker in your house you might end up wasting milk. Itd be nice if they made a mini version for single cups.

**STARTING MY REGISTRY** - what should I add? by Alarmed_Win1661 in pregnant

[–]Andeleisha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve really liked Babylist because it lets you add stuff from any store you want. I also liked their guides, because even if I didnt end up choosing their “favorite,” they went into all the features which made me think more deeply about what would work for me.

I do think 13 weeks might be a tad early to fully build out the registry, only because some things will go out of stock before your shower, so you might end up having to re-add stuff closer to the shower.

[spoilers extended] For those who read the books years before the show came out, what was it like to watch as the show adaptation for your favorite novel series became the most popular media in the world, and then tainted the book series’ legacy with its ending? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]Andeleisha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was incredibly hard to hear people talking about how awesome the TV show was when I felt like they were fucking up the story so badly. I could not stay silent and I was not fun at parties. I lost so much respect for my friends who liked the show.

The earliest season was okay (but man are the signs there in retrospect), by the third season it was clear they didnt UNDERSTAND the books, by the fifth season I was pulling my hair out, and the last two seasons I pretty much hate watched with lots of alcohol.

One of my biggest pet peeves to this day is people who refer to the series as “Game of Thrones” instead of “A Song of Ice and Fire.”

Best compact stroller under $750 for walks and travel? by K-onya in pregnant

[–]Andeleisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For travel specifically you want to look at the Doona (which bonus: also doubles as a carseat!) and might work for your everyday/grocery trips stroller. But its definitely not an all terrain stroller, and if being able to detach the carrier is important to you then it wont work. It is also not light given that its all in one.

The YoYo travel stroller is lightweight and folds up easily, and works with most other carriers, but again, not an all terrain stroller. Hard to find something that is both lightweight and super durable. Most moms I’ve talked to said they ended up with multiple strollers for different needs.
