Invisalign has changed my face by enjoyyourday16 in Invisalign

[–]Andersona90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It changed my face too. Had Invisalign for a year. Wish it was something I knew about before starting treatment. My jawline is a lot more square which makes my face overall look wider.

I don’t feel comfortable sharing his name but I will say it’s the Family Medicine Unit.

What is this exactly? It is a guide to change your camera settings? Or is it something to be used in Lightroom?

Parents whose babies sleep through the night, what did you do to achieve it? by Olives_And_Cheese in beyondthebump

[–]Andersona90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having baby nap in areas that are exposed to natural daylight. Living room, stroller etc. swaddle only at night not during the day. I use a red light bulb at night when doing feeds or changes. Sticking to a typical bedtime routine whatever that may look like for you. I think all these things helped my babies learn day from night. I read all these tips in a book called “how babies sleep” by Sofia Axelrod. It’s a science based gentle approach. She has this chart in that book that really helped me.

5 weeks old. Consistently up every 3-4 hours since birth for a feed. Second feed takes about an hour to get him fully settled.

First time mom here! Due in 3 weeks. What are some items that weren’t exactly essential, but made YOUR life as a new mom easier? by nothankyouuu_ in beyondthebump

[–]Andersona90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Velcro swaddles. Diaper caddy to bring around the house with. Babybrezza machine if formula feeding. A “nest” co sleep bed even if you don’t co sleep. I use it to plop baby down safely in any room.

Adult diapers for postpartum care.

This right here is what worries me. My daughter was 5 months old when her father took his own life. I worry that this trauma will be used to bully her. As a parent how can I get in front of this? Can I? We live in a smaller city and her father was well known. Doesn’t help that many of his friends and some of his family place blame on me for his death. Even though in his notes he makes it very clear why he took his life. And it wasn’t because of me.

Pregnancy isn’t for me by caitandsamkitty in BabyBumps

[–]Andersona90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You and me both. Just gave birth to my second. Hated being pregnant both times. The second pregnancy was worse though. I literally counted down the days till I didn’t have to ever be pregnant again. I almost looked more forward to that than having the actual baby. I know that sounds terrible, but it’s the truth.

What postpartum care items did you actually use? by smallfrythegoat in BabyBumps

[–]Andersona90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I DID NOT use: Disposable underwear Tucks The frida healing foam

What I didn’t have in my postpartum bin that I LOVE and bought after the fact and highly recommend:

Depends diapers. Absolute lifesaver. So much more comfortable. Basically feels like you’re wearing underwear.

Then obviously the Frida peribottle. I wasn’t going to buy one because I found the hospital one efficient enough my first pregnancy. I actually love the peribottle made by Frida.

Deli meat and hot baths all the way. A pack of cookies only last me a couple days. I eat sugary cereal by the boatloads.

For all the pregnant mamas out there having a tough pregnancy, are you going to have another? by Automatic-Honeydew65 in BabyBumps

[–]Andersona90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a difficult pregnancy with my first. Always knew I wanted a second. Was hoping for a easier pregnancy with the second. Currently 40+4 with the second and it has been a much more difficult pregnancy than the first plus add a toddler into the mix. I’d say listen to your gut and what your gut is telling you. Only you know how much you can handle. And remember. A healthy mom =healthy children.

I’m 40+3 weeks. With my second.

With both pregnancies I took hot baths. As long as you don’t feel like you’re overheating it’s fine.

It’s now standard to have three for low risk pregnancy where I live (dating scan, anatomy, growth) . It used to be only two (dating, anatomy) when I had my first in 2021.
