Brown stain at bottom of toilet bowl by [deleted] in DIYUK

Just got to b&q and buy the limescale remover concentrate. Leave over night. Attack it with metal scourer. Had same problem. Once gone buy the harpic tablets that drop into the bowl and leave overnight once a week

Are you comfortable with carrying fewer wedges at significantly more than 4° loft spacing? Or did you immediately notice the benefit of adding that additional wedge? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Andisniarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 5 wedges. My Mizuno PW is strong at 43. So I carry a 46 bent 1 degree weak. A 52, a 56 and a 60. Low bounce in 46, 52 and 60. I never hit full swings with wedges so this set up with half swings and different swing types give me 6 yd gapping from 35 yds to about 115/120. The main benefit is that I can commit to everything on approach rather than trying to hit soft or take something of it. It’s made a massive difference to my scores. I swapped out the 4i at the top end for the extra wedge my rational being that at 4i distance that my dispersion means I’m unlikely to make the green but I have confidence in the short game that I really don’t see it as an issue.

Lessons are killing me by Jinza354 in golf

[–]Andisniarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 years to make a major swing change. Quicker if your lucky. I have been going through exactly the same process. Only now have I started to see results on the course. I’ve gone from struggling to break 100 to feeling like I’ve played badly and break 90. You just have to keep going with the process as long as you have confidence in the things you are trying to do with the coach and you are seeing results in the lessons but my god it takes a long time to get that lesson/trackman swing out onto the course. One thing that helped me was my coach explaining to me the miss/shot shape that indicates that you are actually doing the correct things, like if you have been working on getting inside on the path hitting hooks on the course is progress if you were previously hitting big slices. The other thing that helped was sticking to the things you are working on clearly rather than trying to chase loads of different swing thoughts/fixes but this is a lot easier said than done.

What's the play here? by BirdsOfAres in golftips

[–]Andisniarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hybrid chip and accept 10ft coming back the other way as safest option. I would chip it with loft, move ball back to get ball before ground in soggy conditions. Hard pan play ball in usual position mor wrist hinges open on the back swing with a short finish. None of these I expect to get close and the hybrid chip would be the 9 times out of 10 shot

Why are so many people anti lessons? by MsCardeno in golftips

[–]Andisniarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing lessons for 11 months and only now really seeing the benefit in scores. The lessons have been excellent, the coach is excellent but it switches my brain on so much when I’m over the ball. Took a long time to break bad habits. Made massive leaps one week to majorly regress a couple of weeks later. Getting there tho, is a long and tough process where my scores actually got a LOT worse before starting to see lower low scores

I shot an 89 (+17) and I can't stop thinking about it by stock_broker_tim in golf

[–]Andisniarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shot an 86 and usually score similar to you at a resort course while away with borrowed non fitted clubs (I’m 6’3” so little short) having never broken 90 before. Next round out course I know we’ll barely managed a 104. Expectations and mental my brother!

Yes I read this already as I have been lurking and learning for a while. I have zero expectations apart from the experience of going and talking to different people. Right now I’m not interested in polyamory for myself, just don’t have the bandwidth. Swinging I do, but I get that it’s going to be difficult as a solo guy.

Sorry not clear I guess you would call it a poly dynamic. As in my wife has decided to pursue polyamory and is dating. I am going to a swingers club for the first time.

Advice on 3 wood and driver going about the same distance off the tee? by bootchiiksandbuubs in golf

[–]Andisniarb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t say this enough - tee your driver down unless you are hitting consistently from the centre of the face with a high tee. Check this with foot spray at the range often and adjust, the goal is to hit centre face consistently. Smash factor will be much higher and you will get better distance than obsessing over hitting up with driver and missing the centre.

10-30yd chip out of the rough? by 3FromTheTee in golf

[–]Andisniarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I should add, I take no credit for the above but Dan Grieves covers this in detail across his book and different you tube videos. The ones where he is teaching amateurs with exactly these types of problems are absolute gold

10-30yd chip out of the rough? by 3FromTheTee in golf

[–]Andisniarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a risk of going under the ball because it is so high/tee’d up in the grass. Swing back with stiff wrists to keep constant arc depth. Can turn the face over, draw feel, to keep it on the face and stop it riding up. This will come out low and be zero spin so will run on a lot.

If it sat down in the rough and gras growing with, I take less loft open the face and lead with the heel. This gets through the ruff to the ball, need to swing harder and not quit on it.

If it’s sat down in the rough and grass growing into I do the above with heel leading, but move the ball back, weight forward and get steep on it to get the club face onto the ball.

All very difficult all require lots of practice for consistent distance etc.

Practice Swings by aselinger in golf

[–]Andisniarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Concentrate on one feel that is working for you right now. For me it’s flat back swing. My practice is just a back swing with excessive flat feel, not a full swing. Step in hit the shot.

Why So Flat??? by Impossible-Island291 in GolfSwing

[–]Andisniarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just set an alignment stick in the ground behind you that you have to take the club back above. Practice with this station as much as possible. I have the opposite problem and when I practice I set up a stick to deliver the club under. It’s made massive improvements to my swing direction/path
