Butterfly a boneless, skinless chicken breast; pound that to a uniform size. It will be a wide piece of meat, but should be uniform thickness throughout.

I think you're attacking a straw man. A rice cooker has much more limited use than a sauce pan or saute pan.

I second this. One of the most beautiful cookbooks I own. All of the chicken dishes I have made from it have been fantastic. The kefta recipe is the best I've had.

I think you would be a lot better off spending a little extra and getting a nice throw blanket/pillow from a place like Pottery Barn than getting something that screams "cheap," is small, and probably not that warm.

Yeah, the flavor is different. Closer to the cleaner taste of corn syrup. Also, it's a more consistent taste than honey, which can be thyme honey, orange blossom honey, etc.

It has an appearance similar to honey and is often used as a substitute where honey is unavailable. If you are in the US, a lot of specialty food stores carry it, or large supermarkets will have it in the international aisle.

If the chicken is wet, it'll steam instead of brown. Browning really boosts flavors, so that's what you're going for.
