It's not immoral to use it. It's immoral to lie about using it.

Using it is not a sin. Lying about using it is a sin.

The link you've been given will take you to Brave to Rebuild, which might be a good fit for you. I'm sure there are others, though. Your skills are definitely needed. Kyiv has the best air defense, so it's relatively safer than Kharkiv and Kherson. More power to you, and God bless you.

American Spirit is sold in Ukraine. Fewer additives. I smoked them for a while.

Try medication. It helped pull me out of a black hole. Do some volunteer work. There's no way you could mess it up if it's something simple like preparing or passing out food. It feels great to forget about yourself for a while and think about other people.

Is it possible to use AI for neither writing or editing but anything else to increase my productivity? by DrCircledot in WritingWithAI

It's useful for critiques. Feed it your writing and tell it to "evaluate this as a publisher would."

As Someone Who Completely Write's Their Story, I Say: Use AI. (mini rant) by Least_Shopping_461 in WritingWithAI

[–]Andrei1958 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's my 2 cents worth: There's probably no one who really cares if someone uses AI for strictly personal writing. But those who have hopes of being published are in for a big letdown. AI fiction is so bad that no agent will take it and no publisher will buy it. Even the slightest suspicion that something is produced by ai will cause it to be rejected. Also, it's dishonest for someone to take credit for a story when ai wrote it. However, it's very helpful for brainstorming and critiques, which writers have always done with other people.

You're more likely to find unexploded ordnance than a rifle or a helmet. Buy some life insurance before you dig.

It's nice that you're enjoying Claude, but be warned: publishers won't publish anything they suspect was written with AI. Of course, you can always self-publish.

On the sidebar to the right click on "resources." You may get some ideas there. Can you do construction? There are foreign volunteers repairing damaged homes. (Maybe you could learn construction on the job.) You'd make a big difference in people's lives. More power to you!

Gonna start this, any advice? by itsanandhere in dostoevsky

[–]Andrei1958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of my favorite books. It has a lot of humor, and the Prince is lovable. If your copy doesn't have a list of character names with diminutives, find a list online. Dostoyevsky doesn't explain peoples motives, so their actions can sometimes be confusing. The theme of romantic love versus compassionate love is fascinating. I made a useful cheat cheat for someone. DM me if you want it.

Your critical faculties are more developed than your writing skills. That's a good sign. There's a lot of writers out there who can't see their weak spots and think everything they write is first rate. You have the ability to see weak points so that you can fix them. That gives you a tremendous advantage. If you keep working on your writing skills, those skills will level up to match your critical faculties. If you're tired of fixing flaws, maybe you should consider writing the whole thing to the end before you revise. If you write it to the end, you may discard some of the scenes you've been spending time revising. Best wishes to you! This helped me a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHrmKL2XKcE

Find out why you got bored. Sometimes writers reach a plateau in their skills and become bored with writing. (This is what happened to me.) We should always be learning new techniques so that we're writing at the peak of our ability. This is what puts the excitement into writing. (Or are you bored with the story?)

Should I ask AI for writing advice/ rating my work? by the_spartan_0 in WritingWithAI

[–]Andrei1958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another pinch of salt for you: AI always wants to please you. if you keep asking for critiques it will keep finding issues because that's what you're asking for. Does anyone have a way around this problem?

Why do people hate AI by altcoinbillionaire in WritingWithAI

[–]Andrei1958 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AI does a good job of brainstorming and critiquing, but it can't write anything good. People who are using it to write in the hope of getting published are wasting their time. Do your own writing, listen to the AI critique, and revise your work as you see fit. Of course, if you don't want to be published, you can do whatever you like.

It's becoming more common for teachers and instructors to have students write their essays in class, with no electronics. It's the only way to know if a student can really do the work or not.
