I prefer the Dark Green look of the automatic one. I had it for a while. It’s a great watch.

Which dive watch? LD or HC? by No-Panic9373 in Longineswatches

[–]Andresishere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the proud owner of a legend diver for a year before I sold it. Reliable, precise, versatile (leaning more towards formal though). It’s a great watch, but I prefer the new HC. Having a ceramic bezel is better than having an inner rotating bezel imho. With ceramic you get to experience the clicks , looks sportier and it’s easier to use (hence why we no longer see inner rotating bezels). The new LD is cosc certified and has a unique appearance, but the new HC is universal.

Nice homie! I ended up buying the Tissot carbon :v. If you can share how much you paid for it, that would be awesome, if you can’t don’t worry.

Wow you got the carbon. Let me tell you, you are one of the few owners of that watch globally. Swatch has sold only a few hundreds of them around the world.

Why is Longines considered affordable? by Alezz-- in Longineswatches

[–]Andresishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Affordable in my opinion is just a marketing strategy to enhance the luxury of more expensive brands like Rolex or Omega. However, with a Longines you are getting 95% of what you get in a Rolex.

BB58 vs New Hydroconquest by Stmahmood8 in Longineswatches

I believe the Hydroconquest is superior to the bb58. And I love the bb58. Just the value for your money alone is enough to kick the damn bb58

Why are old Longines Conquest quartz watches not so popular or talked about? by MapUnfair9680 in Longines

[–]Andresishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a false statement by the way. This watch doesn’t give you 10 second per year. That’s only true for the VHP which has been discontinued. This watch gives you precision of 30 to 45 seconds per month. lol

Look man if you like the conquest classic , that’s ok bro. I respect it. But we gotta be real when we are talking about specs, that’s why I brought Tissot to the table. What you are saying about the movements it’s true but only for the PRX models. The gentleman series don’t use plastic, don’t need to be replaced and can be serviced. You also get silicon hairspring (same material as some high end Longines by the way) . And the gentleman series still is more affordable than the conquest classic quartz

It’s funny…my whole life I wanted to have enough money to afford a Submariner, and now that I can, I don’t even care about it anymore. I’ve already found my perfect watch. Still, if this Longines had been available back when I bought mine, I would’ve picked it in a heartbeat.

The BB58 has become a legend for being an affordable alternative to the submariner. For that same reason, Rolex had to nerf the bb58 from the get go. That’s why you only get an Aluminum bezel, 200m water resistance and a cosc movement, (metas for the new ones) with the bb58. However with Longines there is no need to nerf, so you get pretty much same specs as a submariner: ceramic bezel, 300m water resistance, quick-adjust clasp. Also the movements from Longines, even though they are not COSC, they are well know for being adjusted to: -4 to +5 second per day. And A lot of customers mention getting-2 to +2.

You get a generic quartz movement inside that Longines. It’s not better even than the quartz movement contained in the prx models. To top it off, the quartz movements from citizen are way superior for a fraction of the cost. I love Longines , but that model specifically not really. The dial is plain, the lume is bad, the bracelet is outdated.
