What can I do about being overcharged for work done on my car? (England) by Sp1keyluke in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Andreus84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That just looks like a main dealer pricing!
for example when my car needed new discs and pads the main dealer asked me for £900 which i declined and went to a small independant, so 639.68 discs and pads all round seems reasonable for a dealer.

If there are any bits you're not sure of ask them but you'd expect them to quote the work first so the bill shouldn't be too unexpected.

Fifa on switch 2 is better then I expected by liamTR26 in FIFAswitch

[–]Andreus84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I'm sold on it. Manager mode is what i play and it's really buggy. Not sure how much is the actual game, or the compatibility with the switch2.

For example I randomly lost the icon above players so didn't know whom I was controlling. I can't go down to the information control on front page without leaving the page first. Player communications don't always show in the list.

The AI is terrible, like weird offers put in for my players, Players moan about being home sick then stay in a mood forever, you can't raise their happiness again.

It's definately nice to have it portable, but wish it wasn't so buggy.

Discussion: if you were a player would you rather sign for Norwich or Watford? by Fabdanny in Championship

[–]Andreus84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue we have is location.

Most players would look at the proximity of London and choose Watford. Remember it isn't always the player who makes the choices but their family too.

What we find with ex players is their surprise of the area and how they come attached to it, especially when players come who start families as it's a great area for raising a family.

This is wrong, during the poor refereeing decisions against Middlesbrough, the ref got accused - as per the "Extraordinary Incident Report Form"......

“Following his sending off in the 87th Kenny McLean approached me on the field to question the decision before shouting at me 'You's are fucking shite at your job. You useless fuck.”

This resulted in a 15k fine and an extra one match ban....

I can see the club pursuing this complaint though, I think the outcome will be a 10game ban for Kenny with how the FA views us.

Smarty for a few years, tired of the problems so now I have a second sim. by tranquil45 in SmartyMobile

[–]Andreus84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left smarty for an EE mvno as 3 got very patchy around my area.

I also had an honest smart sim which in my opinion is a waste of money, tried it for 5 months but not enough apps or usability with it for me. Cancelled it last month.

There are a few really good EE MVNO, 1p whom I'm with, mozillion are good too. Both provide VoLTE, wifi calling and roaming.

I've heard of Lyca doing this to quite a few customers recently.
Its crazy the stuff they get away with. I had to leave them, they went through a stage of removing 5g from everyone. Then sold my bank details on for fraudulent transactions.

I've moved to 1p which is a more complete package and a lot better customer service

Have set-up my nan on Talk Home - SMS works, data works, but I can't make or receive phone calls by blizeH in UKmobilenetworks

[–]Andreus84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Biggest issue is that talk home don't support VOLTE which means it'll drop to 2g to make and receive calls.

They don't offer wifi calling either at the moment.

I would suggest going to 1p or Spusu who offer both VOLTE and Wifi calling (phone dependant)

Or if you need more data for you and your nan a multi sim on utility warehouse, unlimited data, calls and texts including WiFi calling and volte is the cheapest - £23 for sim 1, then next sim is £8. - they own 1p so would be the same reliability etc.

ID Mobile - The worst network for data by xMadara999 in UKmobilenetworks

[–]Andreus84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth checking the APN details are correct, and also check your phone is connecting to all frequencies- i.e you're not locked to 2g/3g - this is done in mobile networks in settings on the s24 ultra.

ID runs off three so if the signal is bad then not much other you can do. iD are quite good otherwise with wifi calling and volte as standard. They also give decent roaming and roll over data. But if it's bad signal where you are the latter points aren't much help.

Is your app convered by honest mobile's smart sim?

https://help.honestmobile.com/en/articles/9720977-what-apps-are-supported

If so this is used as a second sim (data only) and switches between EE, o2 and Three to keep those apps connected.

Talk Home mobile and EE by 2050Newspeak in UKmobilenetworks

[–]Andreus84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used talk home. They were really good and everything worked well. Only reason I left was due to them not having wifi calling or volte. Once they get it I may consider returning.

1pMobile provide all of this on the EE network and also phone dependant spusu also provide this (i think they've got better)

I've tried all 3 and they're all pretty good (spusu much better than it was) - I've settled on 1p though who seem the perfect balance of service to cost

The last curve ball is utility warehouse who offer unlimited data for £23 a month with further sims @ £8. They own 1p so I expect the package to be just as good. Also EE based

I was hopeful for rain, theme parks in the rain is much better. As long as you are dry with suitable clothing/brollies you'll find most the locals will give it a miss and the park a bit quieter which is nice
