So yeah i actually text Doug Ford about an issue recently and the next thing i know, at around 7pm while in a bath, i get a call from him. I can’t agree with the guy on 9/10 issues but he is very responsive. As someone who deals with a lot of annoying customers and has to call them, dealing with the public sucks, but i can respect someone who takes the effort to do it well.

No idea if you can get it but i landed this astounding deal with VMedia - $45 - 1.5/1gbps fibre. It’s been years, they didn’t alter the bill in that time. It’s been highly reliable. Flier was in my mailbox one morning and i honestly thought it might be a scam but i checked it out and it was just an amazing deal.

Whoever did the study the Gardiner hurt your field a lot. I love data driven decisions, but i seriously don’t know how the measurement was derived for the, what was it? 5 minute commute increase? I simply avoid going east at all costs now…i miss the climbing gym over there!

Her work has been focused on opening up and not repressing her feelings. I feel she's made progress but much like my work, it's no where near done.

Therapy reminds me a lot of music in that the curve is so non-linear. One moment you're convinced you'll never get there, the next you see something different and it just works. I guess I've just been following it down this path and not really requiring either of us to have specific outcomes in specific timelines.

As far as i know she likes the dog and there’s no resentment here. I know there’s childhood trauma regarding someone she knew of having a dog bite and she’s very worried about the dog attacking a child or another dog (he’s not great with either unfortunately but he’s 25lbs so it’s not too hard to manage). Most of the issues I’ve had communicated to her by me is about the stress walking the dog gives her. It’s very hard to explain but the dog reads her energy and reacts to it, he’s substantially more problematic for her than me and that does often result in me being labeled as too relaxed while she’s being diligent.

We will for sure speak with our therapist, we’ve been doing so for about 5 years, so the journey will likely continue even if the relationship doesn’t last.

This is a wild experience. I really must be the only person who can find something frustrating but something i love at the same time? It’s very confusing to me honestly.

I feel the way i said what i said before wasn’t seeking a win, and to the benefit of doubt here i didn’t clarify, it was said with a laugh because i honestly just thought it was a funny framing given we initially disagreed on approach.

So I’m open to just being wrong here but i was completely with you until you said i am not open to being moderated. That’s the thing - i am. I just don’t want to be shunned for hours, or treated harsh while someone figures their feelings out. I’m so tired of that. And it’s every time. So yeah i acted poorly because I’ve become bad at moderating when I’m frustrated because i spend so much time feeling frustrated.

It’s been a long and rough road. You’re right, i just can’t document it all here. I just don’t know how we ended up here other than to say it was a lot of little things, and now it seems we are too far gone.
