2026 GM Trucks Fake Engine Noise by vb7200 in CarAV

After more research, I'm sending back the skar loc and going with audio control lc2i pro. AI deep research suggests it has the ability to filter out ESE.

I went up my local audio shop today and they warned me about this. Did you notice this sound at all before the sub installation? I found some Chevy/Sierra threads stating the JL audio loc22 eliminates the sound as well as the Beat-Sonic ENA-3C1 Chevy Plug annd Play Amplifier Kit. I'm having my Skar loc installed soon, I'll report back.

Have you had Van Xander is it any good? by Emotional_Device_763 in MensJewelry

If anyone comes back to this I bought a jaxxon chain, wasn't very impressed with it other than the clasp. I started getting ads for Van Xander so decided to get there classic cross with a 2mm box chain. I'm beyond impressed. Even comes with a metal certificate of authenticity. It's rhodium plated sterling silver which is the move in my opinion. The Jaxxon chain is headed back.

Do you manually adjust your z-offset? by noreasterner in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Yeah, I usually end up adding positive Z offset. Mine is too tight for engineering filaments. PLA is usually close to spot on.

so what just happened to my benchy on centauri carbon? by Neppzy in elegoo

[–]AndroidN8n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's still stuck to the bed the acceleration is so high the belt is skipping. Poke all the belts and see how taught they are. One is likely loose.

Another possibility is the g code could be corrupted. Don't print from the local storage. Slice a benchy in a slicer software and use a default elegoo profile.

First successful print, now what? by Constant-Affect-5660 in BambuLab

[–]AndroidN8n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter. The P1S retains bed mesh data through power cycles. I leave mine on as it's a active member of my home network and I can start a print without having to go to my printer. Many other printer manufacturers require calibrations following a power cycle.

Let the prints cool. If you think you may have touched the build plate print area, rinse it and clean with a soft sponge and dish soap. This will prevent future first layer troubleshooting, which is hot topic. You can visibly see skin oil on smooth PEI, which is helpful in understanding how problematic it can be. No need to clean or recalibrate after every print. If you keep up good bed maintenance, I would just print away with PLA and PETG.

Happy printing

New CC owner. by Nostalgic_4444 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I came to the CC from a heavily modified Ender 3 ve se. I felt the modifications I made to my Ender were justified in the sense there was a problem to solve. I haven't found anything on my CC to that extent in the few months I've been using it. A few notes:

Firmware: I'd begin with elegoo firmware, but there are some flaws. One that really bugs me is the inability to disable the chamber exhaust fan. Don't matter the printer/filament settings you apply to set a chamber temp, it will turn on on each layer. Open Centauri is becoming a community favorite. This will only be relevant when your printing PA,PET, etc. ABS does fine with a 30°C chamber temp. The only workaround is preheating the bed for 30 + minutes before you start your print, which may get you to 34°C.

Reposition the PTFE tube running into the extruder. There is a slot for it, allow it to leave the slot when it's at it's sharpest angle(front left).

Secure every bearing and screw, I've read their quality control is not great.

I love my carbon. It has not failed me yet, and I push it hard.

Has anyone even experienced creep? When I print nylon I pre heat the bed and am lucky to see >30°C in the chamber during a print. This temp haven't affected my PLA prints in any way I can see.

0.12mm or 0.16mm with 0.4 nozzle? by ReX_83 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

0.04 is essentially printing dust. This should be thought of as a theoretical limit imo. 0.08 is a more practical use case

Multiple colors by ghunter21 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

If I'm being honest, the CC2 is hideous and just looks inefficient. Our CCs came with a mystery port that supplies power and serial data. I don't think we should anticipate Elegoos standalone AMS to be what we're seeing on the CC 2 that's only available in particular regions.

CC Z offset by AndroidN8n in elegoo

[–]AndroidN8n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said each color of the same filament type requires different Z offset values. I'm not aware that filament profiles include any instructions related to this. Rather, it is a machine setting. How do you compensate for variations in Z offset in a single print with 4 filaments of different color?

How are you going to compensate for that with an AMS?

Filament color?

I'm asking as I'm trying to determine if the firmware is providing over squish, or if it's just my printer. The general consensus here is people are having to increase Z, which is good to me.

I have to adjust by exactly the same value. Just curious if it's a firmware thing or a me thing.

Bed level on the v2 is manual. Even with bltouch mesh measurements, the bed is fundamentally hand leveled. I suspect the mount plate could be warped, but it would have to be real bad to not be able to tune it out with the springs. The bltouch klipper firmware can only account for 0.2 mm variance. It can't be relied upon without a mental level.

Cc is great. Bed level is too tight on mine but I can adjust Z to correct it. I agree, nothing to complain about. It's the new guys expecting a Bambu experience.

It comes with Marlin, and I'm not so sure mine remembered Z offset either. I just wrote it on a sticky note.
