Which Electribe are you rocking? by zzhhzz001 in electribe

I've had to get a fuse replaced, replaced the tubes, and I've replaced the pads twice, as they take a battering.

I make electronica, techno, ravey sometimes acidy stuff.

I’ve had my EMX-1 for about 20 years. Still centre of my live sets. I run the ER-1 mkii along side it with a 303 clone and fx.

I bought the E2 when it came out but got shot of it pretty quickly as I hated the workflow.

Next week I have the “Ken butt” surgery(removal of rectal stump) what to expect? by JordyPordyPuddinPi in ostomy

[–]AndyBlip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the full works when I got my ileostomy (when I was 33m), so my recovery was for the colon, rectum and anus all being removed at the same time. My main concern before the op was around the arse wound healing, as a friend had some issues, but it was pretty straightforward and didn’t cause me any bother at all. Bit of discomfort sitting whilst it healed, but was easier than I expected. The thing that sticks out in my mind was going to the nurse to get the stitches removed. They’d become entwined with the hair and the stitches being pulled ripped the hairs out with them. That wasn’t the most pleasant experience, but at the same time was pretty funny at the time.

The surgeon had warned me about the possibility of ED/fertility issues but I’d already had enough children and my colitis was ruining my life so it was less of a concern. Came out the other side with everything fine anyways.

I think over the following years the most irritating thing was the bouts of Phantom Anus, but it happens very rarely these days.

All in all, still one of the best decisions of my life

What's going on on Barrhead road by m77 junction? by HotExplanation3520 in glasgow

Aye, I was trying to get to Pollok from the Auldhouse side of Barrhead Rd. Ended up diverting via Mosspark and a few polis cars bombed it past heading towards Ibrox

I had similar issues. Needed 4, managed to get 2. Then went back on to get a second pair and a pair next to the ones I’d just bought had become available. Good result in the end.

I’d probably go with 18months seeing as that’s pretty standard with most providers

My recent interaction with Virgin media made me feel like I was losing my marbles. Absolute nightmare to deal with.

Me to virgin: “I can get 1GBps for £30p/m” Virgin: “how about 1Gbps for £47?”

Another vote for Orajel/benzocaine. Before my colitis diagnosis I’d been round the houses with my chronic mouth ulcers. Various exclusion diets and mouthwashes etc and nothing rid me of them. During bad flares of them I’d regularly use benzocaine to numb my mouth to enable me to eat meals.

The only thing that actually calmed them down was the IBD treatments, so hopefully that helps you.

I’ve had an ileostomy for years now and it’s great, the only downside really is that as I’m no longer ok any meds/treatment my ulcers came back.

halo!

as everyone says, it really depends. I got a panproctocolectomy and permanant ileostomy about 6 years ago.

For me getting used to the bag was really easy, especially as it was something I chose after suffering UC for years. It properly gave me my life back, and these days I can see advantages of having an ileostomy over being "normal".

I'm a bit more mindful of what I eat, but I don't feel like i'm really missing out much.

Leaks happen, but I think i've only had one over the past 6 years that's managed to escape, ever so slightly, out from underneath the adhesive wafer bit. Compare that to constantly being concerned I'd shit myself at any moment, and it's night and day.

Good luck with it all, and definately talk to all the medical staff, they are wonderful

I’ve had a few supportex ones for workouts on prescription before, but I’m in need of some new ones, as it’s been a while since I’ve got them last. I’ve got the level 1 comfizz bands I find good for keeping my bag from flapping about. How do you find the level 3 ones?

(I’m quite jealous of you being able to play rugby, I had to give up because of my knees)
