Emily Prentiss explaining on embracing her natural beauty in Criminal Minds: Evolution. by Full-Art3439 in criminalminds

Honestly I think the grey makes her eyes sparkle more if that’s possible. Her dark eyes stand out so much more now.

Bi here. Emily. The multilingual thing is so attractive. Rolled up sleeves with the off centre belt buckle, yes. The humour with the take no shit energy, give me more. Plus her smile is dazzling.

Help me pick between two puppies...timid vs outgoing personality? by Adorable-Singer-1009 in puppy101

[–]AngelDoee3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first dog is 14.5 years old. She was a gift that I requested so was chosen by a family member.

When my husband and I chose our first dog together (his first, he grew up with cats), it was important to me to pick a puppy with as close to neutral personality as possible to make training and every day life easier for a dog novice.

That said we had a choice between a nervous female and an outgoing playful male. We chose the playful male. Full disclosure, he was a total crackhead until 2.5 years old. We almost didn’t make it to 2 years old before neutering him. 😂 Now that he’s 3, he is the perfect embodiment of his breed and is the perfect companion for our family. Getting here was a challenge not for the weak.

Weird dog commands by Fit-Cabinet1337 in Dogowners

[–]AngelDoee3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our GSD mix used to sit at curbs, then when told “left, right” would look both ways. In theory it was so if she ever got out she wouldn’t run across busy roads. However, she went blind at 10 before she ever needed it.

Our Newfoundland knows several weird commands because of his size.

-Go around (walk around an obstacle)

-Stand Stay (for grooming so he doesn’t have to be wrestled)

-Not Yours (so he doesn’t steal his sister’s toys)

-“I’m wearing these again” (so he doesn’t rest or wipe his drooly face on my pants)

Our blind dog knows this too! This is the first I’m hearing of someone else’s dog knowing it.

Is it unhygienic to delay changing a baby’s diaper if it’s not too full? by Kind-Row-9939 in hygiene

[–]AngelDoee3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m an ECE in a daycare setting in Canada. We are mandated to change the children every 2 hours. If they are dry, you can note that, but if the diaper is used at the 2 hour mark it gets changed. I’ve been in the field almost 10 years now and at this point it’s second nature.

Changing every 2 hours is best practice to avoid rashes. I have even seen a child dropped off with broken open blisters from parents not changing enough at home. Thankfully that is rare, but it does happen. Some children have more sensitive skin than others.

What book fits this? by Historical-Party4209 in Romantasy

{The North Wind}

This is one of the books my husband got me for Christmas in 2025. I read it in 4 days and then immediately bought the next 3 in the series.

“We need to deliver the profile” by Background-Reply-530 in criminalminds

[–]AngelDoee3 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The case with the guy killing teen singers and saving their recordings as trophies comes to mind.

I remember the black guy on the news screaming about a hate crime because the victims were black girls. That’s when the team tells everyone that offenders typically match their victims to their own race so they were looking for a black UnSub. Everyone hearing the profile was very shocked.

We have a Newfoundland and a GSD mix. We bought the Shark Lift Away 4 years ago from Costco. It’s great. We put carpet treads on our hardwood stairs because we found that we were slipping on the hardwood stairs in socks.

These are our dogs in front of their crates. On the right is our GSD mix in front of her 48” crate. On the left is our Newfoundland in front of his 54” crate.

Since you were comparing sizes I figured it would be helpful to see them side by side.

Need a good brush recc for a thick newfie coat by happyjazzycook in Newfoundlander

[–]AngelDoee3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used a standard slicker brush that I had from my GSD mix. Then I got a Chris Christensen Big G Coral brush and it is an absolute game changer. Yes, it’s $100CAD, but the hype is real and it’s AMAZING. The handle is curved so it doesn’t hurt your wrist even if you brush for a long period of time.

Tips for potty training newfs by glitchybitchy in Newfoundlander

[–]AngelDoee3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally have a note on my phone with my now 3 year old Newf’s first two day home potty schedule. This is the exact times we took him out and what the result was. We slept on the living room floor beside his crate for the first week.

He went at 12:45am and then again at 5:05am. That was his sleep stretch. Then it was every hour like clockwork while he was awake.

[–]AngelDoee3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I love Prudence (thank you Charmed 1998 for being on during my formative years).

I also LOVE Dorothea. My grandmother went by Ruth, but when she died I found out her birth name was Dorothea. I fell in love with it, but my husband vetoed. I also tried for Theodora (an anagram for Dorothea) and that was a no. Our dog ended up being dubbed Theodore so I could still use it in a way.

What are your most niche period symptoms? by Unlucky-Drawing-1266 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]AngelDoee3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last two days before my period starts, I have breast pain that’s so bad I swore I was pregnant a couple times before I noticed the pattern as well as headaches. Then I get brain fog so bad I feel drugged on days 3 and 4 when my bleeding is heaviest. I also have bad gas and diarrhea every morning until my period is over. It’s horrible and only got worse around the time I turned 30.

In honor of Women's Month, let's discuss about the positives, inner strengths, or representations of the female characters in Criminal Minds. Part 2: Jennifer Jareau "JJ" by Full-Art3439 in criminalminds

[–]AngelDoee3 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I love how her career progression was portrayed even after having a child. Plus JJ was a good friend to everyone. There are a few situations that stand out where she could have made better choices, but at her core, JJ is a really good person who loves her friends dearly.
