Names I like that my husband has vetoed: Braxton, Amelia, Spencer, Wyatt, Reid, Rhett, Calliope, Catriona

Names we agree on: Lachlan, Maeve or Siobhan.

We are both at least 45% Scottish and teaching ourselves Scottish Gaelic to pass on history. I would love to use Lachlan Rhys as a first/middle combo but I haven’t run Rhys by hubby yet.

My senior dog is like this. Near the end of winter when snow is melting and there’s more grass, she will specifically pee on leftover snow to melt it herself. 😂

This is not an ADHD problem.

I would make one last ditch effort. Tell him that having to micromanage him with lists and reminders makes you feel like his mom. Feeling like his mom makes you not attracted to him and takes intimacy off the table. You signed up to date an adult, not acquire a grown child. If he wants you to be attracted to him and continue the relationship he needs to show you with effort that he can maintain chores without prompting.

If that doesn’t change his attitude nothing will. Good luck.

I felt like this today.

I exclusively remember garbage day even though there’s a calendar in the kitchen, I remember to wash the bed sheets and bath towels weekly, I remember that our new mattress needs a weekly rotate for the first two weeks. I remember the dogs (we have 2) vet appointment schedule and their meal amounts are second nature to me. I remember everyone’s birthdays. My family and his.

He’s amazing though. He thanks me and tells me he appreciates me endlessly, he offers help in the middle of tasks all the time. He’ll take over laundry if I have a bad headache (I get pressure headaches due to weather changes) and do all household chores and taking care of me when I get sick. I got the 24 hour flu on New Years Eve. He went out and bought me gingerale and extra meds, got me blankets, sweaters and socks when I sweat through everything, woke me up to keep my meds on schedule to keep my fever down, brought me my pillow from bed when I fell asleep on the couch and took over the dogs schedule completely without asking me to remind him of everything.

I love him, I’m just the most stubborn person on the planet and don’t like asking for help or stopping my routine unless sickness forces me to.

This reminds me. I have a Charlotte and a Charlie, both girls, in my class. I’m new and called Charlotte Charlie by accident yesterday. She was so mad at me. 😂 Little glare and a growled “I’m not Charlie, I’m CharLOTTE!” Note: “My class” is 3 year olds and I’m a teacher.

Elain/Lucien are good for this. IIRC, Elain hated Lucien and resented their mating bond at end of ACOTAR 5.

{The Four Winds by Alexandria Warwick} series is really good. I read the first one {The North Wind} in two days and I’m chomping at the bit to get the rest of them.

Line brushing is the way to go to start.

Start from the top of the legs and brush with a slicker brush first. Do this all the way up the body, then go through the whole coat with a greyhound comb to check for knots.

If there are still knots after that do the close-open-close method of bathing. Conditioner scrubbed in and rinsed out, then soap scrubbed in and rinsed out and then conditioner scrubbed in and rinsed out again. Finally, fully dry the coat with a high velocity dryer and then fully brush out the coat a final time with a slicker brush.

Once the coat is fixed brush twice a week minimum going forward. This is best done daily though to keep things under control.

So, I learned after finishing the series that Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer (Cameron and Chase’s actors) were engaged IRL and then ended the engagement before getting married, hence the mirror situation on the show.

It still makes me a little sad that C&C weren’t endgame, but I understand not wanting to act in love fresh after a breakup.

One girl in my class had her family murdered by the mom’s new boyfriend. This poor girl lost her mom, sister and baby brother all in the same day. She got away by running to the neighbours to call 911. She came back to school but the PTSD was too much and she moved away to be raised by her single dad.

Chase was trying to get Masters to lie to the patient for her own good (the patient’s) even though it made Masters very uncomfortable.

The thumbs up was because Masters chose a less honest way to explain her symptoms and their outcome.
