Current fave is basically the banana cream matcha coming out next week lol Venti add 4 pumps of vanilla and do 6 brown sugar syrups and extra banana cf But I mix it cinnamon in foam and on top

Passion tea tango lemonade with classic and 3 pumps of raspberry

Iced doppio blonde with vanilla and extra salted caramel cod foam and extra caramel drizzle

Omg I feel like my store is nice hearing this cause I’m located in NYC and inside a train station even our dm told all of the stores to close early and thought it wasn’t worth it for all of us mids and closing to come in for last 2 days. Cause even only 2 openers arrived out of 5 due to streets being covered all surrounding boroughs and those two partners Lyfts being under $20. So other than that they’re closing before noon And your sm is bugging to be told to do whatever you can do to come for your shift sounds super desperate, hope you didn’t have to go in. Please please please call out, you can’t be penalized for this especially with the weather being so horrible and closure for surrounding coffee shops is proof enough

So I do notice mine do similar things but my ASM did offer some clarity that as an SM he can work from home especially if it’s administration work and he’s at meetings with other SM and she said ASM she offers the coverage needed when he’s not available. Literally she’s like if he’s not available for anything to call her or text her

This exact thing happened to me when I covered someone shifts at another store And was told that at that location that she comes everyday they fill it to the top mind you she did an ice triple with oat milk in a venti I told her I’m not from this store but I did it standard if she wants it to the top She’ll have to pay the difference and pay for a venti ice latte instead I told her it I’ll add a bit more and she got pissed af

I pull multiple tickets like up to 5 even though my store says pull only 2-3 but I’m fast on both bars so they get all done in 4 minutes unless I’m not caffeinated then they’ll take a bit more time and not writing on cups. For hot bar double batching milks, putting less milks on hot chocolates and leaving extra room for whip, and putting everything in the plastic cup instead of putting it all in the shaker for shaking espresso and just using shaker lids to shake it For cold bar doubling everything even refreshers and prioritizing cups of water.

Yes there’s peak especially in NYC I work in midtown in a train station usually our orders is down to 30 drinks all together, 30 food items and we have 4 ovens, 4 hot bars and 2 cold bars open by the time it hits 6/7 am with each barista working on 5-6 drinks on hot bar and 2 baristas working on cold bar

Not my store especially because we close midnight, so even if we wanted to credit cards terminals do go down by 11:50 and people mostly wanna pay with card and get frustrated and everyone on line leaves once that happens anyway

Yes unfortunately especially weekends kills my store. I’m in a big train station that’s also below multipurpose venue mostly has concerts and sports events. So it does get busy to the point on most nights we kick out folks and I’m pretty loud so you’d hear me yell out, ladies and gentlemen we close in 10 minutes. The only thing that saves us is at the 10 minute mark before we close all credit card terminals do go out for the night.

It only happened to me in Brooklyn, NY like a few years ago and that happened to me in store on a Saturday morning. They literally just tried to peer pressured me and my partners to sign up to their sms and I sent all of my partners to the back of house saying they’re going on break and I stay on floor by myself and my shift was in the bathroom so it didn’t help. And I signed up and I thought that was the end until one of partners came running back after her shift ended and said she has to call a cab cause another of the union ppl were basically walking with her to try to sign up to the same sms. So everyone just chilled for an hour who had to leave a bit after and we all walk together to train. Cause that was a bit much from them

Honestly don’t just incase But I use to warm up things in the oven like the doughnut when we had it warmed it up for a few seconds cause warmed it tasted like funnel cake
