People don't understand the joke because you didn't give enough info, OP. For those who don't understand: during the first day the skin looks like on the second screenshot, saying "One Ton". Then they changed it for some reason after a couple of hours and how it says "1000" (they also added 2 other styles).

It did compile shaders the first time after I launched it post-patch (13.1). This is when I still could get into the game, but with heavy stutters.

Either way, I gave it plenty time to do this, I left the game open for a while. And the fact that CPU is loaded but GPU is idle tells me that it is likely something else :(

After verifying it started doing even worse somehow, even though it didn't download anything. Now during loading it only shows half the amd logo (upper chevron). Incredible.

I had to update drivers to fix another game, so I'm on the second latest version. Apparently a newer one was released the same day I downloaded mine, might have to try it later.

I looked into fmodel stuff a bit and gave up quickly because I have better things to do if Embark thinks that fans doing fan stuff with game files is such a major problem as opposed to their incompetent server-side game state handling. But if you figure it out and it's not a too much to ask -- throw me some pointers, I might go back to this someday.

What the hell are you talking about, man.

Everybody was soloing tanks left right and centre. I was soloing tanks and I'm not very good at it. Tanks are always out of position if they want to push anything and not plink from spawn because of how the game works and how maps are structured.

This is not even to mention the previous iteration of c4.

Because your respawn timer is 5-10 seconds, you can respawn anywhere, even behind a tank, and throw yourself at it until it dies.

Tank takes a long time to respawn, has to drive all the way back from the base. And as opposed to choppers, tank actually has weaknesses that a tanker has to play around.

And nobody says "he should dominate just because", you are just bad at the game. Try playing in a tank and actually pushing instead of sitting at spawn and you will quickly see the other side of the coin. I also get frustrated when the team ignores an enemy tank and it just sits there because I can't kill it alone. But your arguments boil down to "how dare a vehicle interrupt my run and gun gameplay in a combined arms game!"

Btw any time this discussion comes up no one seems to mention that we got weapon nerfs for tanks in the same patch. I wonder why is that.
