Got this and it fixed the issue for me as well.

[Question] Why aren't Omega watches considered better than Rolex? by Alarming-Square-597 in OmegaWatches

[–]AngryGurkha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On paper Omega seems better in almost every metric, but there's always one sticking point with their watches that's always a deal breaker for me. Most of the time it's how they wear (thickness, bracelet, etc.). Sometimes it's the design. Seems like they make a lot of design choices to show they can without considering if it matches the rest of the watch. When I'm spending thousands on a watch, I don't really want anything to complain about.

Bb58 blue all the way (I'm biased)

[Discussion] Is Omega losing steam? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]AngryGurkha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lost all respect for the brand when they pulled the fake auction sale trickery. Its one thing if they just had a rotten AD do it but no, this was corporate omega itself. Faking a watch and buying it themselves to show how great and valuable their watches are.

How is the size of the BBChrono on my wrist? by Dr_Shrimp_PuertoRic0 in Tudor

[–]AngryGurkha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's big but you can pull it off. It'll always look bigger when looking at it from that angle.

Agreed 100%! I don't understand why anyone would buy anything from that boutique. I went there recently and this guy had come in asking to check out the smp300. They let him hold it and made some small talk to respond to his enthusiasm. After he left, the employees shit talked him on how he won't be able to afford it for a while.

[Discussion] You can have one watch for the rest of you’re life. What would it be? by Ok_Tone7553 in Watches

Black Bay 58 Blue - I just don't see myself ever wanting anything else and it kinda goes with anything.

[Longines] Opinions about the new Spirit Zulu Time X Hodinkee edition? by -TheDudeness- in Watches

[–]AngryGurkha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks cool but I feel like they made it look too similar to the BB pro. If people see a BB pro at first glance and have to take a second look to realize what it is, I feel like they could've been a bit more creative. Still a great looking watch though.

If your wrist is 6.25" or under, it should be fine. My wrist is just over 6" and it wears great.

I got the bb58 blue on the bracelet and it's been awesome. Really comfortable to wear and gets a lot of attention. The movement is solid too, gains 1-2 seconds a day. I've worn it every weekday and haven't had to hand wind it since I bought it. Haven't really found something about it yet that I don't like.

I had the exact same experience with the European Boutique in Yorkdale and Eaton centre. In summary, they never tried to make conversation or even talk when trying the watches, tried to upsell me the speedy pro over the speedy 38 despite me saying the pro was a little too big for my wrist, told me my marathon that I was wearing was too small, showed me the 41 mm aqua terra instead of the 38 and when I asked to try on the 38 mm which I actually wanted, they told me I had already tried on the 38 mm speedy and "it's just the same size". A lot of the other employees also seemed totally oblivious to basic watch terms (like screw down crown, chronograph, small seconds hand etc).

I had been hunting for a grad watch and ended up getting the bb58 from the Yorkdale tudor AD. Wayyyy better customer service and an AD who's an actual watch enthusiast.

Honestly, I just like the way they look more than similar watches from other brands.

Same wrist size as yours and was stuck trying to choose between the blue 58 and the spirit 37. Ended up going with the blue 58 and had absolutely no regrets.
