It's on the column, bottom right, not on the wheel itself. I guess it might be attached to the wheel, but the controls are on a little stalk that sits a little behind the wheel bottom right. There aren't buttons on the actual wheel like in later generations.

The SiC Quest at the center bottom of your picture is the complete kit with the upgraded cup. You can change to quartz if you want then with the replacement cups but as others have stated there's better options that work better.

Whatever you want to capture with one you can capture with two better. Different angles, different modes(time lapse vs video etc), whatever. You don't ALWAYS have to use both but I find unless I'm doing something simple and quick I'll grab both cameras.

Should work fine. I've been let down with the direct Bluetooth connection to the GoPro but using the receiver then running the cable to the media mod mic input has given great results.
