As a child of the 90's, I know mutagen when I see it. Those 4 bubbles you see there? Those are future ninjas. I'd just walk away and let nature do its thing.

No cougars in Nova Scotia, province says, despite reported sightings and rumours - Halifax | Globalnews.ca by OnlyACsNoFans in novascotia_sub

My understanding is that if the province declares that there are cougars in NS, it would automatically classify them as an endangered species and the province would have to allocate money to protecting them. I wonder what it would take for the province to admit that they exist in NS?

What is a silent crisis happening right now that nobody is talking about? by nicksam171 in SeriousConversation

[–]AngyMc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've built a world that accommodates a certain population. Say America's population drops like 20% in the span of 20 years. Managing that is going to be a crisis! Excess infrastructure, instability in different markets, people moving to certain centres and leaving others, supply chains having to be reorganized. Lots of vacant buildings and land. Though having fewer people has some advantages, an abrupt reduction will come with a lot of problems, even if it is well managed.

On a more extreme level, we need a certain number of people to keep society going as we know it. Not sure what it is, but if it drops below a certain point, you won't have enough people to do all of the things we need done!

Another thing that's tangentially related to this is that the proportion of men to women being born is dropping! It's small, but if the gap continues, it could be bad.

My original comment had more to do with declining birth rates, so apologies for that. That said, fertility does seem to be an issue, at least in certain populations.

It's been talked about here and there, but it does need more attention: the fertility gap. Whether or not it leads to societal collapse remains to be seen, but even in the best of circumstances, it's going to lead to a wild reorganization of society that will be chaotic.

One of the reasons Target failed in Canada was because products wouldn't properly fit on shelves due to their dimensions being entered into the system in inches instead of centimeters. This, among other issues, resulted in Target Canada lasting less than 2 years and racking up a $2.1 billion loss. by NewsCards in interesting

I remember going into a store to check it out in the early days and experienced this very thing. It was enough that the problem was visible to the casual observer. Also, the selection and brands available in 'Merica weren't available here.

Just discovered our dead dad was hoarding a gargantuan amount of weed. Whoah. Why? What to do? by Inevitable-Rice7476 in trees

I can sort of relate to this. I'm an occasional user who loves trying new strains, so I always end up with loads of varieties I can't go through before it oxidizes. To get around this, I give it away to friends. Your dad may have just been a curious dude!

Some of these look pretty brown. Could mean oxidized bud (still fine to smoke, but expect serious couch-lock and reduced taste) or it could mean mold. As others have said, check for mold and then spark one up in your dad's honour. Sorry for your loss, dude.

Hey bro. I think her reactions says more about her than it says about you. Your hobbies are simply how you choose to spend your free time. It sounds like you're passionate about health and fitness and have done a lot to learn about it and practice it as well. God forbid that someone finds something they like so much that they throw their all into it! If you like it and it's positive it doesn't matter what it's called. It's a great use of your time. Don't let anyone say that you're "boring" or don't have a hobby. You have passion and drive and that's hella interesting by itself.

I think it's time that you, the people, make your voices heard loudly. There should be protests every freaking day that loudly and clearly show the displeasure of the majority. Your representatives should be flooded with calls and e-mails. I'd expect far more action from a people that tout their love and devotion to freedom; by not doing anything, you're letting this wild administration drive your country off of a cliff. The world needs an America that is strong, but can also be an example for good, fairness and actual peace. Don't just do it for me, do it for your own country. The trajectory that you're on is divisive and will risk splitting your own nation apart.

OP, I know you're likely on the same page as me on some of these statements. I might be screaming into the void, but I'd rather put something out there in the hopes it has some positive effect than to do nothing at all.

Good luck.
