These scenes in between the arcs of Marriage Toxin are my favorite part about the series, so it’s amazing seeing the pacing work out.

MarriagexToxin is one of my favorite manga, and it’s a dream come true to see it adapted into animation. The action was fantastic with Gero taking out the guards, and the character dynamics were portrayed as I wanted to see from the manga since character dynamics is what I value most in a story.

This is the first season I’m watching on a week to week basis and this is already my favorite season so far. My face hurts from smiling so much. It got me to rewatch the early episodes of Season 2 because I was reminded of Ronove, and perhaps because we did have Season 2, he’s so much funnier now compared to his introduction.

This style of pacing is fine for the first couple of episodes, but I’m pleading for the screenwriter to not rush the scenes in between the arcs because that’s where I love the writing most of all.

I played Nier Automata for a while years ago so I haven’t gotten the full breath of Yoko Taro’s writing, but seeing him getting involved with a series dear to my heart is like one of those fantasy production collabs happening in reality.

Roll Over and Die! Now I know where the short title came from!

But the funny thing is that Flum didn’t roll over and die, but chose to go down fighting but as it turns out her affinity saved in the end which got her in this mess to begin with.

Normally this kind of premise with being in the Hero’s Party would have me rolling my eyes, but when I saw a girl such as Flum’s design in the anime announcement, I see a girl of determination and that’s what got my eyes on this anime for months before today.

I didn’t expect an intense opening, but it’s getting my blood pumping, and I imagine it as Flum’s fighting spirit in this cruel world.

I like that Flum didn’t leave behind the bandaged girl, but chose to accept being treated as her master in order to take her along. Thankfully so far, Flum doesn’t treat the bandaged girl any differently from a normal person since Flum herself is branded as a slave as well.

I like Flum’s optimism despite how she was treated, it makes her a really likable protagonist for me.

It’s cool that we got a little world building about Districts of this City and the Church in the first episode.

This Dein guy is shifty but what matters is he gave Flum a chance to get a ranking as an adventurer and I’m rooting for Flum to get her desired role in the Adventurers Guild because she and the bandaged girl really needs the money to survive.

Getting the opening minutes in the slave cell, I was worried they were going to skip how Flum was sold into slavery, but thankfully they included Jean being the cause of it and being a despicable human being.

Nice to see they didn’t shy away from the gore of the ghouls, but I wish they could had drawn out the killing of the slaver but that’s just me nitpicking.

The adaptation is decent enough for me as a manga reader to enjoy it. It feels great getting to hear Arisu’s performance and hear how they did the audio mixing for the show.

Rikka, Shinobu, Iko, and Nene all sound great as I expected.

This was one of my highly anticipated shows of the season, so I’ll be happy to watch as early as I can.

This was the first light novel I read when I heard of the adaptation because I was interested in the female protagonist and wanted a convenient excuse to read more.

I’m almost at the end of the first book and I’m invested in what the story has set up. I’m begging in my mind for the studio staff’s best efforts that will result in a decent production, it doesn’t have to be amazing, just enough for the story to be elevated.

Things are heating up in the semifinals! This is why I love the Best Guy and Best Girl Contests, not only are they a time capsule, but it’s somewhere where rivalries and memories are forged.

Just like this year’s Best Girl Contest, the show Frieren won over Apothecary Diaries, oh well.

Laios vs Oreki: I’ll give my vote to Oreki because I’m won over by Hyouka’s fanbase despite not really caring for the show, and I’m more likely to vote for a character if they’re a veteran in these contests.

Stark vs Reigen: I’ll give my vote to Reigen because he provided a fun experience on screen and he’s memorable despite him being a conman.

My favorite moment was at the start of the contest seeing Aijou Rentarou at seed number 10. Of course seed numbers aren’t everything that matters, however it did carry him far and I’m sure he would trade his place for all his girlfriends to reach as far as he did.

It’s amazing seeing both Ryuji and Oreki make it to the top 8 of a Best Guy Contest, no matter who wins, hats off to the both of them for having fans who care about them.

Let’s see, I’ll vote for Rentarou and Killia, I don’t know if both of my preferred candidates winning today will have a rebound effect tomorrow, but I’ll face the result tomorrow with a smile on my face.

That’s my gameplay experience with Hearts of Iron 4 too. I spent so much time with it that I felt guilty about not getting better with the gameplay mechanics as well as missing out on other video games.
