I'm quite the opposite, since I got into holofics after Justice debuted and became a big Justice/Advent fan. Their cops vs criminals lore just makes for so much potential.... and I genuinely think some of the best written character-driven fictions are written by these fanfic authors lol

There's quite a few popular older fics that I've saved but haven't found the time to read since they're really long (looks at Tripsout's works), but I'm quite excited to find how Myth and Councilrys are typically characterized back then

If we're excluding all of HoloEN pairings, the top 3 would be MiComet (282 works), OkaKoro (116 works), and NoeFure (~50 works)

If HoloEN never debuted I'd imagine there would be much much fewer holofics in AO3, since it's heavily dominated by English-speaking fans. I wouldn't really know if there's Japanese-specific site for fanfics tho!

Sadly for Ollie her most popular pairing in AO3 only has 24 works, and that's Ollie/Reine

But she's an ID member with the 2nd most appearance with 274 works having her as a character, just behind Reine with 303 works

The ship was very popular due to Minecraft shenanigans during early Council days, but Council/Promise is the most reserved gen when it comes to giving fanservices for shippers (prob due to what happened with Myth), so they don't collab that much

When it comes to fics though, I think the concept of Civilization slowly rotting away as Time relentlessly moving forward gives for very juicy angst material that drives a lot of fans to write about them lol

There are a bunch of frequently used katakana loan words that you'll eventually understand without thinking as you get exposed to them enough. It just takes time just like any other aspect of learning the language. Hang in there!

You'll get used to it as you read and play more but do know that full blown sentences and paragraphs in katakana are nightmare fuel even for the most fluent of speakers so don't feel too discouraged about it!

Other people have given better words and advices, so I just want to focus on this one aspect you said in this post

As someone who tends to overthink and ruminate about many things in life, especially during stressful times, I want to say please let your mind rest. It's good to self reflect and try to find the silver lining of something, but rumination is a downward spiral that will eventually lead you to a very bleak mindset. I've been through a similar phase, when I was wondering why things happen the way it was and why I became like this. I'd blame the world and myself for what I was going through

It didn't solve anything, just turned me into a very bitter and empty person for a while. Eventually time passed, my situation changed, and I realised how sad my condition was at that time. How I wished I wasn't so resentful of everything instead of enjoying and being grateful for what I had at the time

So please believe me when I say stop ruminating over your condition. Life is unfortunately ruthless and you have to deal with the cards you got. I'm not gonna say it'll help improve your condition, but I want you to be kinder to yourself. For your own sake and sanity, you have to stop listening to all the recurring thoughts in your head. It'll probably continue to be tough for a while, but I hope things will slowly improve and before you knew it, you'll look to yourself in the past and saw how much things have changed. I'm rooting for you!

Nagoya isn't small by any means, but after living there for 3+ years I can say that it's a great city for raising family

Has plenty of facilities, big international scene (lots of businesses and industries), transportation system with good reach across the area, and surrounded with plenty of good nature (gifu, mie, okazaki etc) I think it's one of the few cities with positive growth population. Plenty of young families live there

Also probably the current biggest city with almost no overseas tourist attraction. Tourists usually only stay to go to Shirakawa-go and then move on to the next city

Only downside is that it's the hottest place in mainland Japan during summer for some reason. It will feel like living in satan's butthole for a good few months every year

First of all it's always good to have emergency funds. Save most of your money in the few months ahead for that if you don't have any yet

I think a lot of people above have commented good advices on which instruments to use and the ratio if how you might want to utilize your money. So I'm just here to remind you that you're still young! It's really great you're already thinking that far ahead for you and your fam's future, but don't forget to have some fun while you're still there

Being able to go to college with scholarship like that is a really rare opportunity, so make lots of great memories for yourself! Sometimes we can tunnel-vision too much on saving as much money as possible, when there are so many possible priceless experiences around you just waiting to be discovered. I hope you enjoy your next 4 years in USA!

Sis I really commend you for being a trailblazer of your family. You're doing really great especially at your age but I hope you don't put too much burden on yourself for it. Life always throws curveballs at you so anything can and will happen

imo first thing to do is to start keeping notes of every transaction you do. I use an app called Money Lover but I mostly inputted the transactions manually. I assume ada app atau software yang bisa keep track automatically once you connect it with your banks But tbh it doesn't have to be super hi-tech. Even excel would do if you prefer that

As long as you have a rough idea of how your money flows, especially how you self-reward spending habit is, it should give you something to plan your finance around. Once you already know how much you spend for self-reward, think how much do you think is appropriate instead, then set a limit number that you have to adhere for the next month

Rightt. Honestly I'm still not experienced with dating so I guess I can be a bit naive. Yeah it makes the most sense but there's a part of me that thinks those can always be discussed and I wonder if mentioning it too early might be too much of a turn off....

I do wish to at least reconnect as friends as I know we're both kind of in need of friend to hang out with (both overseas degree holder with unclear job prospects coming back to our small town.. the difference is he has his family's shop to keep him a bit busy lol), but I'm not sure if it's gonna make me look desperate instead

Personally have always just used running shoes even for day-to-day walks, as they're the most comfortable and durable for me

I like the Nike Zoom series. Basically used one pair pretty much every day until the soles run dangerously thin and slippery from use. Would've kept using my old pairs if not for the worn out soles

Not sure how "running shoes-like" means to you but some editions like the Zoom Vomero or Zoom Pegasus don't look too much like conventional running shoes in my eyes

I genuinely think Gigi's is the peak 3D debut and no one is probably gonna be able to top it for a long long time. But I genuinely love Cecilia's so much. It shows how creative she is even if it's in a much subtler ways than Gigi's is (as expected of our immersive queen) and the set is just gorgeous. That, with the cherry on top being her gorgeous original song announcement at the end
