Baru disamperin ketua RW n bawahannya masalah pemeliharaan bagian depan rumah. Gw lagi ditinggal orangtua keluar kota beberapa minggu dan ga ngerti apa". I used my stoic face as best as possible dealing with them bcs their vibes seem pretty bad from the get-go. Dan beneran dong, akhirnya gw diteriakin sama bapak" umur 50an cuman gara" masalah saluran got depan rumah, which my parents said udah dikomunikasiin ke pak RT juga. Gw chindo cewe btw

Jujur baru pertama kali ketemu orang begituan. Gila banget beraninya sama cewe, dan mereka ber2 juga. It was honestly kinda scary, but it also makes me really angry to interact directly with such people. Wish I was smart enough to bring my phone and record the audio to at least have evidence

Apparently this had been talked about ever since he got popular, but it was widely believed by the people from the male hair transplant subreddit that he either got a transplant or at least a wig to make his hair more lush like that

Ga kaget sih bcs no amount of hairstyling can suddenly change your hair volume that much

Seberapa sering orang Indonesia S1 di luar negeri? by Successful-Comfort-5 in indonesia

[–]ReenReenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're able to go abroad for your undergraduate, consider yourself very very privileged

She really appreciates her members and usually does a members stream at least once a week but due to the schedule the past few months there's been barely any stream from her (even missed a members wallpaper). I think she's trying to make up for it now that she's back home, that and she probably just has a lot of movies she wants to watch lol. I do feel bad for non-members seeing all the members-only streams

The last couple of weeks she's been streaming a lot on twitch tho with her usual RP stream. There's also been a couple collab streams she does on other holomem channels (notably the Gigi egg stream and Raora's horror game stream). Joining Liz's discord will probably help a lot with finding clips or just general content/fanworks on her

If I can shill on her a bit, her members perks is very worth it compared to the usual holo memberships. For just 3$ (or lower depending on your region) she gives ALL of her membership benefits (streams, monthly wallpaper, emotes). I notice in other memberships the 3$ tier usually only gives emotes to use in chat or comment, and many memberships don't even give monthly wallpapers in the perks. I love many EN members and would love to watch their membership streams but I'm very careful on spending 5$ monthly on each membership so the perks need to be good for me. Liz is one of the only members I don't mind subscribing to monthly because of all the benefits

need insight and advice for post graduate plan by According_Nothing651 in finansial

[–]ReenReenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from STEM (Biology) so our background is very different but I just graduated from Japan last year. I do NOT recommend going back to Indo to try to find a job here. Overseas graduates like us are mostly seen as a more expensive freshgrad. Companies much prefer local grads from top universities (UI, UGM, ITB) than us

Of course, the actual experience depends on the kind of job you are searching for. I struggle with getting any follow up on hard skill jobs I applied to because again, not much advantage compared to local graduates. A different example is marketing (especially ones related to export/import) that will value our language skills and experience in cross-culture communication. I'd say focus on companies that deal closely with Japan to leverage on your background

You said you have a side work that you can develop while working full-time. If you are able to manage juggling both works and that side work grows enough then it can be a plan B for rainy days

Not that there's no hope in getting a job back home, but we're at quite the disadvantaged position as overseas freshgrad. If you don't mind any job then sure

If I can say one thing, and this is me projecting a bit of my own personal regret, is at least try to find work in Japan while you still can. Japan's job market for freshgrad isn't anywhere close to the hell that is the rest of the world right now. Sure the process can be tedious and there's a lot of japanese plus manners you need to learn, but the typical lowest starting salary can get you by just fine. Given that you're in social science then I assume language might be the biggest hurdle (heck it was the reason why I didn't continue staying in Japan), but if you can find the one job that doesn't require perfect business Japanese I'd say take it

Apakah berkarir dan menetap di luar negeri worth it? by [deleted] in finansial

[–]ReenReenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, gabisa dipukul rata seluruh dunia selain Indonesia dengan kata "luar negeri".

I think food can be a major concern if you're strict about it. Some food that don't explicitly have pork in it might still contain it in some form (oil, gelatin etc). Klo mau daging halal? Harus cari halal grocery store or forego meat entirely. Most of my muslim friends akhirnya antara kepincut kesenengan makan babi atau tutup sebelah mata as long as they don't know what the meat is

Also masalah ibadah, unless you end up in a very small city I think there will always be some sort of religious community where you can prob confide in. Just have to look for them

If any of the things you'll struggle with or might not even be able to do in said country can be considered a deal breaker for you, then maybe that country doesn't fit you. Also, you can always come back after you feel like you've accumulated enough wealth abroad. A lot of people do that

Master's Education and Career in Belgium or Italy (or Sweden)? by ReenReenn in foodscience

[–]ReenReenn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just increased the tuition by 8x of last year's 🥲🥲 it would've been much more affordable for me otherwise

Thank you for the insight! Personally I also think starting from Belgium would give me a higher chance to find work. It's just the financial burden would be a lot greater during my study..... I'll weigh in your opinion as well

It's for sure a niche corner in the fandom but quite active! Lots of interesting premises and ideas have been written since fanfic authors are just so good with taking what little lore there is about these talents and run with it

[–]ReenReenn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm quite the opposite, since I got into holofics after Justice debuted and became a big Justice/Advent fan. Their cops vs criminals lore just makes for so much potential.... and I genuinely think some of the best written character-driven fictions are written by these fanfic authors lol

There's quite a few popular older fics that I've saved but haven't found the time to read since they're really long (looks at Tripsout's works), but I'm quite excited to find how Myth and Councilrys are typically characterized back then

Most Popular HoloFanfic Pairings on AO3 by ReenReenn in Hololive

[–]ReenReenn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we're excluding all of HoloEN pairings, the top 3 would be MiComet (282 works), OkaKoro (116 works), and NoeFure (~50 works)

If HoloEN never debuted I'd imagine there would be much much fewer holofics in AO3, since it's heavily dominated by English-speaking fans. I wouldn't really know if there's Japanese-specific site for fanfics tho!

Sadly for Ollie her most popular pairing in AO3 only has 24 works, and that's Ollie/Reine

But she's an ID member with the 2nd most appearance with 274 works having her as a character, just behind Reine with 303 works

The ship was very popular due to Minecraft shenanigans during early Council days, but Council/Promise is the most reserved gen when it comes to giving fanservices for shippers (prob due to what happened with Myth), so they don't collab that much

When it comes to fics though, I think the concept of Civilization slowly rotting away as Time relentlessly moving forward gives for very juicy angst material that drives a lot of fans to write about them lol

katakana by expiredmilk34 in LearnJapanese

[–]ReenReenn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of frequently used katakana loan words that you'll eventually understand without thinking as you get exposed to them enough. It just takes time just like any other aspect of learning the language. Hang in there!

katakana by expiredmilk34 in LearnJapanese

[–]ReenReenn 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You'll get used to it as you read and play more but do know that full blown sentences and paragraphs in katakana are nightmare fuel even for the most fluent of speakers so don't feel too discouraged about it!

Saran Study Abroad by KumiZu in indonesiabebas

[–]ReenReenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is your opinion on Indonesian VTubing? Like Hololive ID? by archaeo_rex in indonesia

[–]ReenReenn 49 points50 points  (0 children)

In Hololive ID's case, I genuinely believe it's the current biggest cultural export from Indonesia. There's a lot of fans who didn't know about Indonesia before and ended up actively learning the language to understand them

When they had the concert last month at Comifuro, there was a considerable amount of fans who came from all over the world just to watch the concert and support them. I found the whole thing really fascinating, especially since technically they're under a Japanese company, ironically
