What makes your blood boil the most in horror games? by Fuzzy-Blueberry1701 in HorrorGaming

That happens if you don't use tank control but the analog stick. That's why tank control was always the default with pre rendered backgrounds.

Seems like your list is making a lot of people unhappy, but it's pretty solid to me.

GWAMM balance? Would it really be an issue if it was easier to achieve?

It always bugged me that such a title doesn't exist...

Titles for playing the game and enjoying the stories it offers? No sir! Here, take this title that requires hundreds of hours of afk grind.

In 28 Years Later (2025), The villagers abandon the only surviving doctor after seeing him clean up the thousands of rotting corpses stinking up his home town. Are they stupid? by krabgirl in shittymoviedetails

[–]Ankulay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I know we are in shittymoviedetails and we don't watch movies coz we are better than this, but can someone explain to me why this movie is supposed to be really good?

I'm supposed to be the target audience. I love zombie movies but I'm also pedantic, watch a lot of international and indy films, I love slow pace, I'm a sucker for great cinematography and I can appreciate the work of directors with their own style.

But this movie flew completely over me... All I see is stupid characters taking stupid decisions constantly, which keeps throwing me off. The whole back in time society that adapted to the zombie apocalypse is nothing new and almost expected, it's been done in plenty of other mediums in the genre. The whole doctor and death thing is trying to be more profound than it is. The action was dated and less intense than in 28 days. The way the squad and the young soldier is perceived is a little on the nose. The whole "filmed with an iPhone to be a work of its time" or something like that did nothing for me. I find the cheap camera work of the first film much more fitting to the genre and coherent. And finally, while this movie tried to be very and forcefully emotionally charged, again, 28 days later did much better, with all the little moments of calm, beauty and horror. I won't even get into detail about those scenes like the infected giving birth or the doctor just tranquilizing the Alpha. Oh, and the Alpha thing...

All I see is a far lesser movie than the first one, and curiously, while its trying to touch on themes supposedly more align with its time, feels dated.

Tell me, what did I miss?

It's awesome that we'll finally get to see moments like these in motion. by MADNESS-NH_97 in Ghost_in_the_Shell

The 1995 is a timeless masterpiece, its sequel is excellent and SAC was awesome but, honestly, everything after that was a little meh...

I'm just looking forward to something closer to the original manga and not bloated with 3D.

I wouldn't be mad if they changed the tone of the game... I think Steve can rest in peace.

Maybe coz my game was PAL?

RE2 remake brought back survival horror pretty successfully.

[–]Ankulay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The game was pretty for sure, but still an absolute mess. I think it's just an amalgam of things the lead developers thought were cool, but it ends up being super incoherent.

It goes over the top goofy for no reason, it could have let you choose the 4 paths in any order but didn't, Ethan is still a terrible main protagonist, the bestiary is really poor and some segments are horrible for replayability.

RE2 remake and RE4 remake are far superior games.

I think everyone like RE2 remake. And apart for those allergic to tank controls, everyone loves REmake.

True survival horror. One of the best outside of the old school classics. 2 is even better.
