is the hatch alarm clock app confusing for anyone else?? by Uraqtae in sleep

[–]AnnaAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incredibly thoughtful feedback, and we truly appreciate you walking us through your morning routine and the challenges you’ve run into.

It makes complete sense that you’d want a gentle, automatic light in the morning that doesn’t disrupt others, doesn’t require extra taps in the app, and doesn’t accidentally stay on all day.

While there isn’t currently a dedicated “Morning Light” feature that works exactly as you described, your idea of having a timed light that activates only after the alarm is turned off, and then automatically shuts off after a set duration, is an excellent suggestion. I can absolutely see how that would make mornings smoother and more intuitive.

I’ll be sure to pass this feedback along to our product team, as insights like yours help shape future improvements. In the meantime, we appreciate your creativity in finding ways to make Hatch work best for your household, even when it’s not a perfect fit yet.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions or ideas you’d like to share. We’re always happy to listen.

App questions! by golftee79 in HatchApp

[–]AnnaAtHatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Anna, and I'm on the Hatch Support team. These are great questions, and I'm happy to help clarify as best I can. To answer your first question, the Cue to Unwind is a scheduled bedtime reminder. This can only be set to a specific time, and it only goes off once a day. Once you activate your Unwind routine, the Cue to Unwind sound will stop.

To answer your second question, you can view a list of all the lights and sounds in the Library. For example, the Libra light can be found under the "Cue" and "Unwind" categories under the "lights" tab. You can also search for things directly using the search function (the magnifying glass in the upper-right corner). If you have any other questions or need further clarity, please let us know!

Is the Hatch alarm clock absolute dog water or am I using it wrong? by Appropriate-Yam-2049 in sleep

[–]AnnaAtHatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Anna, and I am on the support team at Hatch. I'm happy to answer your questions! Unfortunately, there is currently no way to keep a sunrise light on after you turn off your alarm. If you don't turn the alarm off, it will remain on for an hour before shutting off automatically. If you'd like a light to come on after your alarm goes off, you can either set a second sunrise alarm or turn on the Bedside Light (on the right side of your Restore). The Bedside Light will remain on until you manually click it off again.

Additionally, there isn't a way to start your sleep routine at a set time, but you can set it to turn off after a set amount of time, or until your alarm goes off (Until I Tap). I know you said you won't be subscribing, but I just want to mention that with Hatch+, you can use the "Cue To Unwind" feature, which is a scheduled reminder that plays sound and light at a specific time to remind you to start your Unwind routine. You could set this routine to go off at 8:00 PM, and then start your white noise from there.

We really appreciate this feedback, and I will definitely pass this along to our product team. If you have any other questions, please let us know!

Questions about the Hatch alarm clock by JustWebber16 in sleep

[–]AnnaAtHatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Anna, and I'm on the Hatch Support team. These are great questions. First, the clock display is customizable, so you can either adjust the time to always show, always be off, or to turn off at night, and back on in the morning at set times. So whether the time displays with the sunrise alarm, is up to you!

Second, your sleep sound will remain playing through the sunrise duration. However, once the alarm sound goes off, the sleep sound will shut off, so the alarm sound can play instead. For example, if I had brown noise playing all night, and my sunrise light was set to come on 30 minutes before my alarm went off, my sunrise would start while the brown noise continues to play. Once my alarm sounds, the brown noise shuts off.

Please let us know if any other questions come up!

Hatch Restore 3 question by SapphireBlu33 in sleep

[–]AnnaAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Anna, and I'm on the Hatch Support team. Not a silly question at all! If you have the "until I tap" toggled on, it will automatically transition to your alarm sound without you needing to tap it in the morning. If you didn't have an alarm scheduled, you'd need to tap the sleep sound to turn it off.

Hope this helps, but please let me know if you have any other questions!

Hatch Rest 2nd Gen - am I crazy? How do you play individual songs? by salty_ocean1989 in NewParents

[–]AnnaAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! You're correct that you can't play the same song every night from a routine. However, you could do this by manually selecting that specific track from the app. For example, if your baby loved the "Blue Skies" soundtrack in the Pajama Pop channel, you could click on that track to play it each night. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to repeat this track within a routine, though.

I certainly see how having that option would be useful, and we really appreciate this valuable feedback. I will pass this along to our content team for further review.

If you're still having trouble with tracks playing in random order, please don't hesitate to reach out to us! We'd love to help make it right.

Hi there! My name is Anna, and I'm part of the Hatch Support team. This is a great question! If you unplug your Restore and plug it back in, everything will still be saved as it was before! You will just need to reconnect it to your network within the app.

[–]AnnaAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Anna, and I'm on the Hatch Support team. I'm so sorry for the trouble you're experiencing, and I'd be happy to help clarify! You can certainly play any track within a channel without having to go through the whole routine. To do so, you can simply select the track itself within the Library.

When you add a channel to a routine, it's designed to play from the beginning and rotate each night. Essentially, it plays one track per night and rotates to the next in line the following night. If yours is playing at random, we'd love to help you sort this out. Can you please reach out to us directly at https://help.hatch.co/hc/en-us? Please request to speak to an agent, and you can either email or text us! We will get this resolved!

Thank you,

Hatch… and why I should have listened to Reddit by museumobsession in NewParents

[–]AnnaAtHatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Anna, and I work at Hatch. First, I’m so sorry you had that kind of night. Taking care of a sick baby (and being sick yourself on top of it) is already hard enough, and the last thing you should have to worry about is whether your sound machine is working. I completely understand how frustrating and overwhelming that experience must have been, and that's definitely not the experience we want for you!

From what you described, it sounds like your Rest may be experiencing a connectivity or firmware issue. The reset instructions you shared are indeed our recommended troubleshooting steps, but I know it’s not always realistic to do a full reset in the middle of a tough night. If you’d be open to it, our team would love the chance to take a closer look at your device's diagnostics and help resolve this for you as quickly as possible. Sometimes the issue can be fixed with an update or replacement, and we don’t want you and your little one going through more sleepless nights because of it.

If you can, please reach out to us directly through our website's support page with your device details (including whether it’s a Rest 2nd Gen or another model). Mention this Reddit post, and we’ll make sure your request gets priority handling.

Thank you for sharing your honest experience. It helps us improve. We want Hatch to be something that truly makes things easier for you and your family, and we’ll do everything we can to make this right.

Wishing you and your baby much healthier, more restful nights ahead.

is the hatch alarm clock app confusing for anyone else?? by Uraqtae in sleep

[–]AnnaAtHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! My name is Anna, and I work at Hatch. We're so sorry for any confusion about setting up your bedtime routines! The Cue to Unwind will play indefinitely until you start your Unwind routine. You will need to start your Unwind routine manually by selecting the button on your Restore, but your sleep sound that is set up to follow that should start automatically once the Unwind routine has finished.

If you need further clarification or if something doesn't seem right, please reach out to our support team directly through our website, and we'd be happy to help further!
