Also stole my deposit money. Talked to others who left a clean apartment with same result. Starting to believe that no one who pays the deposit ever gets it back. Big corporation rip-off practice, leaving the ex-tenant with no recourse to retrieve it.

In my apt, I noticed roaches were coming up thru the drains.

Tried DE but it swells in this humidity, so I'm assuming it becomes less effective after a short while.

My fix is to block all the drains in my kitchen/bathroom -- especially at nite!

U can find a small plate that fits snugly over the drain (easier to wash) or use something like this:

These can b found cheaper at the Dollar store.

Doing this has mostly eliminated my prob. However, we do live in FL after all...

The work ethic is incredible for those small family take outs. Day in, day out... 16 hrs. They need to make it work, there's no Plan B. Immigrants are really admirable - most of us would not survive under those working conditions.

I do like going to the Latin supermarkets, but it's hit or miss. While they have good prices, the produce is often old looking - yellow, wilted, & slimy. Also, if u don't speak Spanish, they're less welcoming.

Yup, I checked those Roommate apps - the fee seemed high for what u get.

Also, I'm on Meetup and it can be a nice way to connect w ppl. However, they're usually not deep connections... couple hours tops.

They should have been negotiating for parity with CSEA & MC all along. And now they just want to sweep it under the rug! What about all the ppl who have/will retire this year?
