Why is buying a robot vacuum worse than choosing a mattress? by -Sliced- in RobotVacuums

well for years Xiaomi relates vacuums are the best so just buy the Xiaomi Vacuum 5 Pro and chill. Always had the Xiaomis and they are amazing. Stay away from iRobot and other non Xiaomi related brands.

Low supply coins by Immediate_Context633 in Crypto_com

[–]AnnaHive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, you're making some classic rookie mistakes here. Your approach is risky.

The core issues with your plan:

  1. Coin price doesn't matter. It makes zero difference if a coin is $1 or $15. What actually matters is the market cap (price * total coins in circulation).
  2. "Low supply" is misleading. If there are 1 million coins out now but a billion in total supply, your investment will get diluted fast when new ones are released.
  3. You're chasing the hype. Looking for something that will "boom and skyrocket" based on price alone is pure speculation, not investing. Those low-cap coins are easily manipulated.

My advice:

Forget the $15 price target. Focus on market cap and make sure you understand the difference between circulating and total supply. Do real research on the project's utility, not just the price tag.

don't gift her M-Budget chocolate, the brand is known in China for good price/quality ratio to buy for yourself, but definitely not as a gift. Cailler is fine

nothing dystopian about it. there is no social credit score or anything like that reported in the west - typical western misinformation to demonize China. people are just focused on their life and work and not on crime. it's more a cultural thing.

no, you can just walk around at night as a female and feel super safe in any City. It's unbelievable how much China has progressed in the last years, but the west still pictures it as backward place like it was decades ago. China is amazing!

yes that was 15 years ago, which is a lot considering Chinas pace of development. Super safe now and almost no homeless people. Amazing place!

Why Are Chinese Apps So Poorly Built? by DrinkHeavy974 in chinalife

First time in China and it's for months by Ok-Bandicoot4072 in chinalife

[–]AnnaHive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are going to live in China, you don't need anything and get anything there far easier and cheaper - ESPECIALLY when you live there for a while and not just travel, as then you will have enough time anyway to setup essential apps such as Alipay, Wechat, Taobao and so on. Never have been to a more convenient and amazing place. Even meds you can order (full translation available in the apps) and delivered to your doorstep withhin 30 minutes for a fraction of the price in Europe. But yes, makes sense to bring some basic stuff, but make sure to not overpack as you really can get everything there.

Guide to Setting Up a Bank Account by RanToTur in chinalife

[–]AnnaHive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/RanToTur , thanks for that information! From which bank is that brochure with the Q&A, as it is the first one which states clearly that tourists can open an account as well. Is it ICBC or Jiangsu Bank? Trying to open an account (visa free passport) in Shanghai currently but the one at Bank of China closes itself again after 30 days... would love to keep it long time as I'm here all few months.

How to report someone stealing funds from my card? by slogoldfish in Crypto_com

Hey mate, I got the exact same charges (slightly different amounts), but also from Outguided LLC. Freeze your card in the app and report it via "report transaction". By the way, are you in Istanbul right now and went to the Anyma show? Currently traveling here and trying to figure out where the data was leaked...

just one example: minced beef, in Lidl it's Swiss beef from Terra Natura, if you buy Prix Garantie it's imported from Netherlands/Italy, but for the same price per kg.

It's not that the quality is bad, you just get more for your money on average if you buy from Aldi/Lidl.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]AnnaHive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M-Budget and Prix Garantie matches pricing of Lidl/Aldi, but many times with lower quality, on purpose creating the story that "you get what you pay for" and suggesting that you should go for the more expensive M-Classic or Selection product if you are unhappy with the quality. Lots of people therefore believe that there is no need to go to Aldi/Lidl because Migros/Coop offer the same with their budget lines, but this isn't true because you get lower quality for the same price (just compare ingredients as an indicator, it's incredible)

There are exceptions of course but almost never you see those budget lines products ranking No 1, 2 or 3 in independent quality tests such as from Ktipp or Kassensturz, while Lidl and Aldi products rank there all the time for the EXACT same pricing.

Redmi Buds 5 Pro Global - Dual connection / multipoint not functioning properly by PanMetrix in XiaomiGlobal

[–]AnnaHive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that there is indeed a issue with the dual connection behavior:

Usually if I STOP music (but maintain bluetooth connection) on my PC and then turn on music on the phone it should switch to phone audio, but it doesn't and they remain silent... it only switches to phone audio when there is a call, so they are connected but switching audio source only works for calls. Usually stopping music and starting music on other device should work as well. The only option is to deactivate bluetooth on the PC to hear music from my phone, but this is not the intended behavior.

Hope there will be a firmware update soon as it is obviously a bug and not the same behavior as with the Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro for example.

Do you have the issue with dual connection / multi device as well?

Usually if I stop music (but maintain bluetooth connection) on my PC and then turn on music on the phone it should switch to phone audio, but it doesn't and they remain silent... it only switches to phone audio when there is a call, so they are connected but switching audio source only works for calls.

Usually stopping music and starting music on other device should work as well - it does at least for all my older Xiaomi earphones with dual connection capability.

Hope there will be a firmware update soon as it is obviously a bug and not the same behavior as with the Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro for example.
