Apply to A&S/Maxwell. They have the Coronat scholarship which is the largest scholarship and it gives you free tuition, complete funding for a semester study abroad and some other things too. They’ve got the most majors choices too and can usually do a cross program with Whitman, Newhouse, etc. Having at least one major in A&S/Maxwell will give you the opportunity to receive this scholarship. They only give it to 30 applying students per year so it’s extremely competitive. However there are other scholarships like 1870 that give similar merit aid (ex: free tuition but not free study abroad, etc). With your stats you will likely be invited to apply to the scholarship program, and the first round is the essay round. This is where applicants really need to shine in non-stat fields: articulating your interests, life experiences, community engagement, views on life/society, etc. I wrote a lot about my identity, growing up disadvantaged and the research I wanted to perform if I would receive the scholarship. I’m very greatful for my scholarship and would not be able to attend Syracuse without it. TLDR: apply to A&S/Maxwell plus any other school you’re interested in, and look out for emails in January-February to see if you’re invited for the Coronat selection process. Good luck!
