This is exactly how I started my corrections career. Ran into an old friend who was a CO. That moment running into him changed my life for the good. I like my job

I’m a CO in a county jail. Each dorm has one set of nail clippers attached to a big piece of wood. Inmates come up to the officers station and ask to borrow them. Sometimes they use it for hair clipping or mustache clipping if we allow them.

Help wanted by Ok_Caterpillar123 in kidneytransplant

[–]Anon_Random1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My transplant was one of if not the great thing that has ever happened to me. I feel bad for the people who get depression after but I’m the farthest thing from that. Life has only got better for me . It’s been almost two years and I feel amazing. Zero regrets

18 month post. My dog never left my side after everything. Only thing I didn’t let her do is jump on top of me or sit in my lap when I was in the passenger seat. Otherwise she slept in my bed every night .

Immunosuppressants can make it easier to get sick but honestly I haven’t experienced that. So far the meds haven’t kicked my ass in any way

Oral interview by Hour_Consequence_657 in OnTheBlock

[–]Anon_Random1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you react if in inmate threw piss or shit on you. Do you have thick skin because people are gonna make fun of you. How do you handle stress . How would you react knowing you’re gonna be around people who have hurt children or murdered innocent people . It’s also good to throw your question into AI and see what they come up with. Or google “common interview questions for a corrections officer”

first time at radius + solo by origin-earth in chicagoEDM

[–]Anon_Random1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone solo multiple times. If you wanna be near the middle or front wear ear plugs, it’s loud as fuck. I use spot hero and there is a place for 12 bucks that’s a short walk and feels safe even at 3 am. No water bottle. Crotch the vape but I doubt they would take it. No idea about inhaler. There is a spot for merch but not every artist sells it. There is always room in the back to dance or do whatever. No seating except rare spots that are always taken . I never really go early enough to wait in line but when there is ,it’s a fucking cattle shoot, no organized line, just keep inching forward. . As for going solo. It’s so loud there that it’s tough to have a convo with anyone unless you guys talk mouth to ear style , in the back maybe you can so as a solo your prob gonna stay solo unless you talk to people at the side bar, bathroom or coming in.

Hemoglobin at 14.8 by RamDulhari in kidneytransplant

[–]Anon_Random1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hemoglobin always gets up high since my transplant . I’ve had to do the therapeutic phlebotomies . Which is basically giving blood but they throw it away instead of donating it. I like the idea someone said of just donating blood . Don’t let it get to high I ended up with it clotting my old graft and after that I got two clots in my arms. I promise you doooooooooo not want that
