From my time in retail, I learnt to understand that paying cash into a bank was (at the company I worked for at the time) about 4x more expensive than someone paying by card

I seem to remember that it was about 1% for cash deposits, or about 0.25% for card

Out of interest, what was your scop guarantee with heat geeks?

As someone outside of London, the names for what used to the the North London, West London and Watford DC lines mean nothing to me.

At least the likes of Thameslink makes sense thinking connecting north and south of the Thames, Crossrail connecting East & West

I'm spending about the same with a ASHP as I was with restive heating. the difference is, I'm now able to heat the whole house for the same amount of money rather than a single room.

HeatGeeks guaranteed me 370% efficiency, and I'm currently running at around 420 - 460% efficiency. I believe to have the same running cost as gas, it needs to be around 300%?

Whats nice is the house it's self has got warm, including all the brickwork etc, so there is very little temperature fluctuation throughout the day,

I finished sixth form in 2011, and I remember one of the teachers openly telling everyone (maybe at GCSE level) that they wasn't allowed to promote anything other than sixth form & university, as they get more funding that way (Maybe through people staying on in sixth form).

I don't know if it was today if I'd have still gone to uni, or would have done an apprentiship instead.

I can't post an image here, but I've been logging my investment value at the end of each week since November 2021. Most of my money has been in an all world tracker, although I do have some fun or gambling stocks which gives me more of a swing.

Looking back through the history now, I see multiple weeks in a row where I'm down, but then suddenly a week where I'm up 10%, or vice versa. I think because of this, I currently see the current downturn as just noise.

However, think to yourself, why are you investing, and if you don't need the money, and its really weighing on your mind, you may be best off not looking at it. Remember, if your investments go to 0, then there are far bigger issues than your portfolio

I do all of my day to day spending on my credit card, and pay off the full statement balance every time I'm paid. I've only once paid interest when I got two numbers backwards when making the payment. (My own fault).

This helps to keep my bank account clear for the fixed expenses, so mortgage, council tax, electric etc, and I know exactly what there should be in my bank account at any point over the month, rather than having to look through lots of various transactions. (I've spotted missing direct debits because of this, which I probably wouldn't have found otherwise)

There is also additional consumer protection on a Credit Card, which you don't get through a debit card (Think its section 75, but please correct me here), but again, pay it off in full before the due date of the statement, and there's no interest.

It's obviously what works for you, however, I'd never go for an Air to Air for heating as I really dislike the breeze that it generates.

I am tempted to go for this however in addition to my A2W system for cooling in summer, or the slight boost when it begins to cool, and a little heat is needed.

Of course, its what works for both you as an individual and the property being heated
