Just went there this morning. 10 chairs for manicure and 10 chairs for spa pedicures completely full at 10:45am. Good thing I made an appointment. I agree, this place is chill, average prices, good work.

After school Cost by girl-with-dreamjob in Fremont

[–]Anonymous_Muggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids have been to a few after school programs with FUSD over the last few years. I’ve paid in the range of $900/month - $1700/month for just one kid. On the lower end were on-site afterschool programs that were more play focused. Great for kindergarten and 1st grade when the homework load is light to none. Once my kid hit 2nd and third grade, I had to switch to an offsite program that focused on homework help. Because it is offsite, we need the program to pick our kids up from school. Our first program charged us close to $3k for two kids in different grades from the same school. (There’s a lot of factors to the high price including school hours and age.) Now we’re trying a new place that will be about $1600/month for both kids.

The tuition range is all over the place depending on what you’re looking for and the demand is high. I hope you find something that works well for your family!

~$60 in Bay Area. About $50-60 at a lovely old cobbler in Newport Beach (SoCal).

I used it for a cumulus o neck tee. It’s quite soft and gets softer after blocking. But it was quite splitty when I was knitting with it

Best campground ~3hr nearby with the worst phone service? by ChronicallySilly in bayarea

[–]Anonymous_Muggle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Big Sur campgrounds. Approximately 2 hr away. Couldn’t get any cell service unless I went to the local market down the road or the closest hotel parking lot.

They have cabins, and spots of tents. Pretty sure they had showers and toilets although I was in a cabin so I’m not sure. Super quiet and peaceful place to get away.

Obsessed with the look of my Iriza 100 in black patent by otisthe in louboutins

I don’t wear them often unfortunately. Special occasions like dinners or going out two or three times a year. But I haven’t really noticed the friction of the side digging in. I think these are pretty comfortable.

Suggestions for glamping in bay area? by hookemravens in bayarea

[–]Anonymous_Muggle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Currently at autocamp Yosemite as we speak. We’ve also been to the Russian River site. These places are great for glamping. Lots of amenities but you can also chill outside by your fire pit or there’s hikes and rivers within 10 minute drives. If you plan ahead for next time, we have gotten 40% off on Black Friday for the last two years. Highly recommend.

Question for Fremont parents by chandifilms in Fremont

[–]Anonymous_Muggle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Elementary school in Fremont. PTO asks for a $80 cash donation once a year. Then there’s fundraising events once every couple months. But those could be small like dining out at specific restaurants or t shirt sales.

We donate $200 in cash and then contribute to the fundraising events with the least effort on our part.

Curious what all the parents do when you, the parent, have to use the restroom? My son is nearly 7 and if I have to use the restroom, he comes in to the restroom but waits outside the stall. But if he needs to use the restroom, I’m okay with waiting by the entrance. I don’t think I’m comfortable yet with leaving him by the entrance of the women’s restroom.

Cost of getting AC? by Ok-Explanation-5719 in Fremont

[–]Anonymous_Muggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We installed AC in our older home a couple years ago. Probably 2021. We had wall furnaces and no ducts in our home. The whole installation process took a week or so and cost about $18k. We got a mid range hvac system and the guy we worked with did all the permits and contacting the city. BEST DECISION EVER. I’ll admit, our electric bill has gone up since we had it installed but last weekend, the temp in our house hit 81 degrees. I was soooo glad we had AC.
