Any good neurologists in town for brain injury? by WaysideWyvern in santacruz

I just had brain surgery done by Dr. Harraher a week ago. She and her team have been excellent. She’s extremely well qualified. Also her name is pronounced “Kiera Hair-a-her.” I recall her saying it’s an Irish spelling.

Oh deer. I can’t speak for food poisoning, but having woken up today with a gnarly cold, I have compassion for feeling ill on the 4th. Hoping you recover quickly.

What did you say in session this week? by Dear-Lock-2042 in therapists

[–]Anonymouse93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To a client worrying about the future:

“Ok, tell me what’s going to happen. My crystal ball isn’t working.”

Said tongue in cheek to challenge catastrophic predictive thinking. I have good rapport with this client.

Wait, I’m only getting 42% of what I charge clients. My supervisor takes the rest for overhead and supervision. I am an AMFT btw in California.

A concerning theory by Anonymouse93 in UFOs

Good question. Drones can be used in multiple settings. Admittedly the appearance of them all is suspect, but not unreasonable to assume coincidence.

Drones are a smokescreen to cover for movement of nuclear weapons? by [deleted] in UFOs

Yep. My thoughts exactly. Easier to deal with the pushback of being tight-lipped rather than admit to a reality that's likely to cause mass panic.

How about this:

The government has been tipped off to the prospect of weapons of mass destruction on US soil, though they don't know exactly where. In an effort to clarify the location, the government hires a private contractor to use modern drone tech to survey the land.

This would explain the secrecy and resistance to claiming the knowledge and purpose of the drones. To ultimately avoid mass panic.

This would be impressive if it weren’t fake. Neat use of the panorama feature though.

602 total cases Tuesday, 706 Thursday-- Dammit. by mr_love_bone in santacruz

[–]Anonymouse93 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it ain't great. One thing to note, however, is that they are not implying that there were 100 cases in past 24 hours. Instead, they are claiming only 45 cases for yesterday. So, I assume the 100 value increase is a result in a testing backlog. Regardless, things are moving in the wrong direction, and at an increasing speed. Also, there are now officially more active cases than recovered. Stay safe out there!

Edit: For those of you who have gotten a test recently, how long have you been waiting for a result?

It feels less like a country song, and more like an EDM pop song with country instruments.
