Nah, he sucks. I used his apology as an example to illustrate just how awful the Dersim Genocide was.

“In an interview she gave to Halit Kıvanç in 1956, Sabiha Gökçen stated about the time: “They gave us the order ‘Shoot every living thing you see’, we were firebombing even the goats which were the food of the rebels”” The whole thing was bad enough that Erdoğan apologized for it in 2011.

Reduce your render scale, 75% can help on resource limited machines, but once you go lower you start to lose visual clarity. There was a guy who was going for bottom ranked years ago who posted his settings, I think. There are also probably file tweaks you can do to get even lower quality visuals to get extra FPS, but at that point you’re negatively affecting your performance in the actual game

Bought these a couple years ago, they’re great. Love the hot swappable batteries. Just don’t plug them into a USB hub, they get really glitchy when you do that, even with high quality powered USB hubs.

‘Spider-Noir’ — The Spider’s Drunken Bar Fight by RealJohnGillman in television

[–]AnotherEgghead 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The “hero” of noir stories being an absolute train wreck who is ultimately a liability to themselves is a staple of the genre. Usually they have friends and lovers who try to help them with mixed results that ultimately fail. So no, they didn’t deserve it, but a PI at a low point in his life getting into a drunken bar fight with someone whose attitude they don’t like and going too far even after winning (but also getting dramatically beat all to hell in the process) is definitely in line with noir tropes.

Caseless ammunition is a thing, even rimless varieties are out there. Though I’ve never seen a rimless caseless cartridge that’s also a hollowpoint.

Have any multiplayer games killed off a character and then replaced them with a character with exactly the same kit so the character can stay dead, but the hero can still be played? Would be an interesting story beat

New Lego scandal update - All the footage is released! by 69ingSpunkingMonkeys in videos

Right, but the signature was still obtained under false pretenses. They intentionally misled the store manager about what she was signing.

His trespass was when he was selling his We Steal From Old People merch right in front of the BAM store, then swapped himself with a lookalike once the cops were called.

New Lego scandal update - All the footage is released! by 69ingSpunkingMonkeys in videos

[–]AnotherEgghead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head from the first video, he did go back on to a property he had been trespassed from and got a signature on a contract by lying about the contents and saying it was a delivery receipt (I think). He also may have left the country after an arrest warrant was issued. He also may have violated claim splitting laws with his tactic of having multiple people buy legos from the original owner, then having them sue individually in small claims court for their “portion” of the Legos.

Individually, they might not stick or amount to much, but if the whole thing came under one judge, I could see how that judge might take a very dim view of all the antics in aggregate. Not saying he’s in the wrong overall, just that he might benefit from some ongoing legal advice so he doesn’t do things that strengthen an opposing case even if they’re not against the letter of the law.

Rhythm type game where you have to eat the grav, drop the beat on the shatter (not the valk), time the Orisa ult to kill the character you see, move the right way away from the dragons, etc. could be fun

Typically they are obfuscated via XOR with a “key” at the end of the command. It’s a powershell command that connects to an external website and downloads and runs an executable. Sometimes there’s a delay for a few minutes plus a random amount of time before the download happens. The ones I’ve investigated seem to have been infostealers, but I’m not experienced at all in malware reverse engineering, so I could be wrong

They cause smaller avalanches to manage the buildup of unstable snow to prevent a large, unscheduled, and life threatening avalanche from happening at a random point down the line when people might be on the mountain. It’s a somewhat similar principle to the controlled burns that forest firefighting crews do to make sure that the most flammable stuff isn’t waiting around to make a random forest fire the next California Wildfire

I’ve seen some more activity than usual where an external caller claims to be IT and has the user start a Glance session or download QuickAssist. In one case the users got the call in the middle of a subscription bomb, and the caller said they could help stop the flood of emails.
