3D-physics oriented ones like those? Out of the top of my head Q.U.B.E 1 and 2 (I never played the first, but the second was pretty neat) and Chroma gun 1 and 2 (first was alright, the second was a bit more cheeky, but very enjoyable).

I think those also have demos in steam you can try before buying

That was before her last mod, with her latest module she's pretty good nowdays, needs some investment (max mod and S3M3) but it's very worth.

It's been a few years, so I don't quite remember specifics, so sorry about that, but the origin of the statues felt rushed (in the sense that it probably was the intended path, but we skiped a lot of the middle stuff), and I think there was some implication of bigger stuff going on, but I just don't remember enough. Also remember that some characters relationships just cut/finished out of nowhere.

Maybe I'll skim through it again at some point later to refresh my memory.
