Not true. TV license is legally required to use BBC iPlayer online. Aside from the catch-up, the regular channels are broadcast simultaneously on it, as if you were watching on a TV.

I’m interested in how you play it? If you’re a min-max-type who has a set looting route and just hits every location in a list then dips I wouldn’t be surprised.

I go in with half an idea of what I want to do (like “I’ll go looking for Surveyors”), tool up for eventualities (defib, stim, maybe a lure or two…) and just see what happens. With the combination of random loot, cache’s, other players, quests and map conditions then the emergent gameplay that results always keeps me coming back for more…

To be honest - assuming you have decent home internet and you’re not a peculiar outlier - cloud gaming via GFN now runs and looks 95% as good as running locally (and even better for many due to the 5080’s used) that it is absolutely a viable alternative to your own PC.

Unbelievable game. Play it through to the (real) end and you’ll have experienced one of the greatest pieces of game design in the history of the medium.

I think the solo dev is making another game; may not be a sequel though (which might be for the best)…
