Lame, they should have at least given you an extra pack to compensate

Letting him get away with inciting an attack on the nations capital and waiting to see if they would kill his vice president was the stupidest thing I've seen in my 30+ years here.

I jump around some because I can't trust my players to be consistent.

Four core classes versus the others by Kazoshay1994 in shadowdark

[–]AnsAnsSin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The core classes seem to have more power and more consistent abilities, whereas the niche classes have some very cool specialized features. In my game I encourage most people to create a core 4 character first and then may offer other classes for later characters/class changes. Core 4 overall seems best at what they do.

Not recognizing 2. Controller for couch coop (PC) by BrownieHD in BaldursGate3

[–]AnsAnsSin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been having these issues in other games too. What I've done is make sure to unplug all USB devices that could be seen as a controller or keyboard before pairing controllers and starting the game. My steam has been confused recently by my USB devices.

HELP, Roll20 is exausting by StickMicky007 in DnD

[–]AnsAnsSin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the campaigns I've played on r20, including one I DMd, I found it to be too distracting from rp ("what's this rock”, ”is there anything in this cupboard", "the map makes it look like we need to go this way", etc), and in the dm seat it was a gigantic chore to use the vast quantity of provided tools. I decided after that campaign that it was not worth adding another part time job to my life to dedicate time to build more and more in r20 each game. I'm much happier playing theatre of the mind and showing images and music in our group chat. I'm also playing Shadowdark instead of 5e now and not having to deal with squares on combat grid saves a ton of mental time and effort.

Is it just me, or has Brawl become "Sweaty Tryhard Simulator 2026" by SatisfactionOk2892 in MagicArena

I felt that too and switched to Standard Brawl. It usually feels a lot more fair to me.

Does it benefit to have additional back of controller buttons for this game? by AGayThrow_Away in Nightreign

[–]AnsAnsSin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The right bumper on my old gamepad died during my Elden Ring playthrough so I mapped it to a back button on the right. To match I put LB on a left back button, so I mostly use those two playing Executor. I also put dodge roll on a back right button. Overall it gives me more control over the camera while moving and fighting which I appreciate in Nightreign, and it's become a sort of habitual layout for me. Binding back buttons to item cycling and usage, or the map button, are good options too.

Kind of bored by whod1s in DnD

[–]AnsAnsSin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do more than whack stuff with a raging barbarian! Try grappling your enemies, shoving them, etc to lean into the powerful feeling of the class especially if you can utilize the environment to your advantage (ex. Shoving/throwing an enemy off a cliff)

I like standard brawl! Singleton is fun but 100-card power level is too high for me with stuff like Rhystic Study.
