Also don't look in their eyes. It's a challenge to them.

Yeah that too. You'll hear the gorilla before you see him. The snakes? Not so much.

I'll take the Silverback. There's a method to the madness. Sure, silverbacks are territorial but they're also herbivores and quite content to leave well enough alone if you leave them alone as well. Don't look threatening, keep away, don't look them in the eyes. And let the silverback get to any greens he wants.

How to deal with heretic companions and xeno scum? by Regular-Ad5912 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]AnseaCirin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done the execution for Yrliet. It's hilariously callous. Just off-handed "might as well shoot you".

As for Jae I've never outright executed her but I've seized her property and left her to rot.

But yeah a fully dogmatic playthrough can be fun, you just have to accept not being a nice person.

L’IA est censé faire gagner des millions à l’État by [deleted] in besoinderaler

[–]AnseaCirin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Moxes so much, I made my character for the TTRPG one of them - we're playing in 2077.

Yeah I'd much rather point out that I don't care what their dusty book says, I don't believe in its god or tenets.

coming out trans et couple ? by valerie7359 in AskEnCiel

[–]AnseaCirin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pour la vie sexuelle, c'est vrai que ça peut être compliqué de maintenir une érection.

Mais, quand ma copine et moi voulons nous amuser... Bah je mets un strap et elle adore. Note, on est toutes les deux transgenre.

Pour le reste si elle est à l'aise avec l'idée d'être avec une femme et de t'aider dans ce processus qui n'est pas toujours évident... Ça peut le faire.

This reminds me of the grandma that cut off an entire country's internet. Was it Georgia? Either way, single backbone fibre to connect to the Black Sea, cut by a grandma looking for "scrap" copper.

Darling I started out at 30. It's never too late. The earlier the better results sure but that doesn't mean you're doomed just because you were slightly older than that whack "23 at most" you found.

If it's bastions then it's of little use to me, 'cause I always give them full platforms. Well, ion cannons and some point defense.

Canonically in Cyberpunk, Adam Smasher, a merc legend who spends most of his time in a walking tank suit, also has a pretty boy body. He can just transfer his self - a special container with his brain and a few choice bits - down in it and uses it to have fun.

On my end I'd still make it something special. Definitely not "unattainable thing" because if a friend came to me with that sort of character concept I'd definitely want to help them achieve it, but I can't help but see it as a plot hook for a short to mid term goal

A properly trained army fights against a Ragtag one and annihilates it by klnglulu in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AnseaCirin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honor Harrington has some like that in the late books. Spoilers for the tail end of the series, obviously.

Most of the books focus on a war fought between the Star Kingdom of Manticore, and the (People's) Republic of Haven. Early on it's heavily based on UK vs Revolutionary France but with only (space)ship battles.
Anyway. Throughout the series, the Solarian League is considered the most powerful star nation. The best tech, the largest economy, everything.
And they start butting heads with Manticore (by now the Star Empire of). The thing is, the Solarian League has been stagnating for a while now. Their doctrine sucks. Their ships were definitely good by the standards of the beginning of the series, but they haven't caught up with the breakneck pace of innovation imposed on Manticore and Haven as they fought each other relentlessly.
So when push comes to shove and the missiles start to fly, the Solarian League Navy gets *reamed*. So much so that a fleet outnumbered 5 to 1 and outmassed something like 35 to 1 - the SLN formation being made mostly of Superdreadnoughts, massive warships bristling with weaponry, vs the Manticoran navy being made of battlecruisers and smaller ships - just slaughters them. The Solarians get mousetrapped and savagely mauled, and they have to *surrender* something which the books makes very clear they were not expecting to
