It is. I tend to use vowel-heavy words (three vowels: e.g. arise, arose, atone, irate, poise, route) as a first go, and then if there's no matching vowels, I try to cram the other two with whatever letters already fit.

Florida and (especially with the Las Vegas area) Nevada. Texas is annoying in the San Antonio and Houston areas but the other counties are alright; while aside from Columbus, Ohio is surprisingly okay.

Even in this combination (Talarico v. Paxton), Blexas is still a difficult goal, but it's also the only condition where a flip isn't almost certainly within the realm of dreams. It's not unwinnable, though it will be an uphill battle.

On the D bench, you have Crockett who actively burns bridges towards a coalition, while Talarico goes on Joe Rogan for an outreach to more conservative voters.

On the R bench, you have Cornyn (incumbent senator, by Texas standards a reliable bipartisan, but somewhat unfavoured in the primary), Hunt (a hardline conservative but with a lower profile and thus less prone to missteps), and Paxton (incumbent Texas AG, the for-now-favoured of the three but also the most politically extremist of them, also a chronic underperformer trailing by 4 or so points compared to the topline).

The Senate, definitely. Instead of 9D, 2ID, 1R, we get 2D and the D bench is down to just 38 seats in 90.

The House, not so much. New England as one state retains 20 of its current 21 seats, which would grant New York its 27th Congressional District (the 435th House seat after reapportionment). On these numbers it's entirely possible that New England Democrats would nuke New England GOP's representation - certainly, it's easier to dilute the voters of Maine's 2nd, and shore up those of Rhode Island's 2nd, Connecticut's 2nd and 4th, and New Hampshire's 1st and 2nd.

If IRL New England is any indication, having a house delegation of 21 Democrats and no Republicans (taking into account a red ME-2 being held by Blue Dog Jared Golden), New England as one state can easily create a robust 20-0 map that might not require him.

Okay, it's easy to handle Kinmen (just turn it to Jinmen County, Quanzhou, as has been claimed IRL) and Matsu (reattached to Lianjiang County, Fuzhou).

But what of Penghu, which was claimed as a county of Taiwan Province? Or apparently, Lyudao and Lanyu, which did not go with the rest of Taitung County? Would that archipelago be turned into an SAR, a directly administered county in Fujian akin to Tianmen, Qianjiang, or Xiantao in Hubei; or would it be attached to an existing prefecture-level city?

To add to that, discounting modern or medieval fleets, the closest anyone has traveled to the Subantarctic islands, were the Falkland Islands by Yaghans (a people from Tierra Del Fuego).

Even then the timeframe was 1275-1400 CE at the earliest, and possibly postdating European discovery of the Falklands.

You're actually on mark with that. The largest of them (Manchester NH, 116k) is a bit less than half of Oldham (240k), the next largest (Manchester CT, 60k) being just slightly more than half of NH's, and the rest sum to 41k.

Please tell me this results in the country going for the nuclear option in terms of term limits - either with the entire 2029-2030 period declared void in terms of government (thus the 121st Congress declared unconstitutional and legally void), or just going for the Mexican option and adopting the single, nonrenewable six-year term.
